Could Dooley have landed Malone?

So when he was in Cincy he could not beat Dooley because Dooley had superior talent. Fine - Butch moved to UT to be able to coach that great talent Dooley recruited for him - but then he gets here and goes 5-7 (worse than Dooley did in his first year when he made the bowl game under more difficult conditions Kiffin left behind).
Something about this string of excuses is so funny :eek:lol:

The fact that you cannot comprehend what I said or understand the stupidity of your post tells me all I need to know about you. Your a Dooley lover and a Butch hater. You must be proud of yourself.

Would it be fair to say that Butch beat all of the teams on this year's schedule whose talent level was on par with Cincinnati's?

It would be fair - except for Vandy - I think Butch had as much talent in Cincy when Dooley beat him, as there is on this year's Vandy team.
But it's not only W-L right now that matter - its how you look when you lose, and we have looked very bad vs Oregon, UF, Auburn, Mizzou, Bama, and Vandy - except for Vandy those were all blowouts where we were not even competitive and we looked like we regressed in later part of the year - we have clearly gotten worse ever since the SCjr game and a lot of blame for that goes to coaching).

The blowouts were bad but I can live with those this season, all things considered. The Vandy game, on the other hand, was inexcusable imo. People will make excuses but that was one that we should have won. The stated goal for this season was a bowl game and that was on the line that game. How this team was not ready for that game worries me.
