Could we still host with Chaos?

We beat Vandy. …. A&M beats the horns … think we will host a game

We should already be ahead of Indiana, Boise, and SMU (who is probably in now). That puts us at the 9 seed.

The wildcard is Penn State. We probably should be ahead of them, but the Big Ten committee is so biased. We will see how much they get punished for their one point win over Minnesota.

Or just cold in general. I thought Nico didn’t have feel for the ball yesterday early and it was just in the 40s.
Yeah I can't stop thinking about Casey Clausen struggling in weather under 45 degrees. It's tougher on throwing the ball in general being in the 30s or worse but Nico being raised around moderate weather is concerning when it becomes brutally cold or the precipitation is up.

SC is not making the playoffs as a 9-3 team.
A 9-3 team can and will eventually make it in. SC is a dangerously good team. LSU game was stole from them and they had Bama against the ropes. They play Clemson this weekend and will likely beat them. I believe Clemson had the chance to make the ACC title game. If Clemson goes on to win it they’ll be 10-3 In the playoffs with a loss to SC.

All I’m really getting at is how amazing the playoffs are now. Last night was epic with Alabama and Auburn losing. Next weekend could spell more magic for more teams.

We should be 8th when new rankings come out. Probably need to be sixth to host to account for Boise (bye) and Notre Dame (ranked ahead of us).

We should be able to do that when the SEC championship and Big 10 championship game losers. Good chance one or both could drop behind us.

Not only are we in with a win over vandy — with more games to follow I think the odds we host have gone way up today.
I doubt Ohio state or Oregon drop behind anyone the loser will be the 5 seed almost certainly

That’s what I’ve got for the final ranking after the championship games.

Because that’s where they belong. They are not a good team
If this is "your" ranking then that makes sense, you're putting teams where you think they should go.

If that's where you think the committee is going to put them, I don't think you will find much support to your theory. They are #4 in the AP poll, they won't be #9.

I don’t see us seeded higher than 8-9th, which is good if we’re 8th for home but 9th is away. Either way WGWTFA! Get through Vandy first! Go Vols!

Hopefully Michigan upsets Ohio State and Oregon drills Penn State in the Big 10 title game. Also hope for UGA to take a 3rd loss, and USC to beat Notre Dame. If that played out and we won, we would be the 5 most likely.

We should be ranked higher than Indiana. Hard stop. They didn’t do enough to be anywhere but last team in at best.

A think a 9-3 conference champion could, but that ain’t SC. Yeah they’ve really improved but the committee isn’t going to take could be wins into consideration in this case. They also got blown out by OM.

So everyone expects Texas to beat Georgia in the championship game and a 10-3 Georgia to be in and above the 2 loss teams?? That is the only way that Texas gets a bye and Georgia gets in with 3 losses.

Or is this their pick for this week? But that doesn't make sense for the SMU and Arizona State entries as SMU will NOT jump Miami this week and Arizona State will not jump Boise State.

Auburn didn't lose

One projection has the Vols visiting Georgia again. While Boise State gets a bye. I hate these playoffs.
