Countdown to Northam Resignation

We both know that it is moving beyond opinion and into generally agreed upon fact.

No, what we both know is that is the narrative the left has pushed, and will continue to push, since he beat Hillary in the election. Before he even took office, the left had already labelled him as such. I think we both know(though you may never admit), more than anything it's a tactic to sway votes and try to win back power. I'm also sure the right will most likely label the next Democrat President the worst ever as well, as politics will devolve ever further, going lower and lower as each side sets new levels of unabashed, shameful behavior.

That would make more sense if it wasn't for the fact that everybody on the left (and many in the middle and a few on the right) said that about Trump when he was one of 17 republican candidates. I know it is your mission to normalize Trump but it cannot and should not be done. We can never allow ourselves to view Trump as normal. The surest way for our country to sink lower and lower is to view Trump as just another politician. He must be viewed for what he is.....rock bottom....the worst our country will ever allow ourselves to be. The country is better than that. (I came up with all of those thoughts on my own....at least I think I did)

They are indeed hard to find. Intelligent educated people are generally liberal.

You would have had an argument if you had left off the intelligent part . You can be educated in the fine art of turd polishing earning every degree they have for turd polishers , that doesn’t make you intelligent .. ..just a turd polisher with a degree .

You just described what Fox News considers a prerequisite skill.

Some have the stomach for it.. not me
You know by saying that’s FOXs requirement you pitched a big slow softball up to the plate for me to hit with CNNs Anderson Cooper and Don lemomHead. But I digress .😉

Mere amateurs compared to the talent Fox brings in.. but at least we've determined that it is a marketable skill.

Well the money goes to the ones with the best ratings when it comes to TV .

No partisan politician should be viewed as normal. They serve the party, not those who elected them, and certainly not the country. Trump is but another in a long line of self serving d-bags. It's not normal, but at the same time, it's not new. I'm sure whomever the Dems decide to run you'll fall madly in love with, but the truth is they won't be much(if any) better. They'll just have a different letter next to their name.

Why was it that everybody said Trump was an unelectable divisive clown at the beginning of the primaries when pretty much no one gave him a chance of winning?

Barry was by far the worst. You got the 2nd part right.

I don't really agree with the second part. I have never really had any use for Trump and probably never will. However, he has done one thing this country absolutely needed, and still needs more of. He is the only person in public office to bluntly face the absurdity of the political correctness that has paralyzed the country. The left has weaponized political correctness, and conservatives never addressed it until it became institutionalized, and then they were afraid to challenge it. It was absurdly ironic the day that Holder said we've never had a blunt discussion about race ... absurd because while true, his side made sure it could never happen.

If you cannot address differences because one side makes issues sacred and unapproachable, then you can never work through them. Everything simply becomes more polarized. You can see the issues right here on VN, but fortunately we are willing to tread where angels and policy makers won't.

Well I did and still feel that way. But from the moment he announced, I believe he was leading the polls, against the rest of the GOP field.

Weezer is a clown to think as a country we should bow to the 35% and normalize this level of incompetence.

All I can offer is opinion, which is Trump puts ego above partisanship. I think GOP leadership wanted someone who toed the party line more. The fact he didn't made him more popular. What people failed to see is he really isn't that different from a life-long politician, IMO.
