If he's guilty, he should be prosecuted. Unfortunately neither woman came forward when it was appropriate because that could have saved someone else from being a victim ... if he is guilty. Here's pretty much what's going to happen in regards to Northam...

He's digging in his heels waiting on the media and the politicians that have called for his resignation to move onto the next "ERMAHGERD! TRUMP!" story. Which, with the SOTU tonight, likely won't be long in the making. Then he does one of the two:

A. Resigns quietly amid the latest hubbub over Trump (unlikely as he'd get a "pass" since "but TRUMP!")

B. Becomes so enchanted with the idea of proving how "not racist" he is he is willing to go along with anything that makes that case. I.E. a Virginia Legislature member proposes "I nominate the 3rd of July as official Kill Whitey Day and should be a holiday in the State of Virginia."

Northam: "I wholeheartedly support this piece of legislation and will provide a pardon for anyone that kills whitey on the 3rd of July!"

Okay, perhaps not that extreme, but desperate people will do desperate things in order to keep themselves in power.
