Countdown to Northam Resignation

1) It’s Mississippi.

2) Southern Dems became Republicans after the election of LBJ in 1964

3) It’s Mississippi. They didn’t even ratify the 13th amendment until 2013. Racism knows no party there.

Actually Mississippi had only democrat governors from 1876 to 1992.

Picture of the Lt Governor of Mississippi Tate Reeves have been found showing him dressed in Blackface in his fraternity year book pictures. His frat is implicated in an event where they dressed in blackface waved confederate flags and called Black students a racist names.

Something good come come of all this - the abolition of fraternities and sororities. Look to the source of a lot of social/behavioral/academic stupidity in colleges over the years, and you generally find one common denominator.

In my case, it would be alcohol.

Budweiser.

That goes for a lot of us. However, fraternities always had a much easier time getting alcohol than normal underage students. And in all the "questionable" yearbook pictures it seems like just about everybody was likely a proud fraternity member with a drink in hand. There have also been enough new racial/drinking problems at fraternities recently to pretty well prove that they aren't getting the message.

….and they voted for Carter, 12 years after voting for LBJ in 1964.

Mississippi went Republican during presidential elections in 64,72,80,84,88,92,96,2000, 2004,2008,12,16.

Like West Virginia. They elect Dems at the State level but Republicans at the National level.

I edited my post. I meant to say they voted for Carter, 12 years after NOT voting for LBJ in 1964. That was the first year they didn't vote Democratic.

Found his medical school yearbook with KKK/blackface photos.

Left wing racism doesn’t count silly. That’s why Farrakhan is still a favorite among the left. Obama takes pics with him. The women’s march leader calls him the greatest of all time.

The left doesn’t really care about racism. Only use racism to win.

So how are the big Dems that have come out to support Northam? Almost every Dem who has weighed in on the issue--and there are many--have called for his resignation

And past that? Nothing.

The sexual assault allegations? Nothing. As a matter of fact, they've been seriously silent on that matter entirely.

It's one thing to call for the resignation of the Governor when you know his replacement is a member of your own party. It's obviously a way different matter when all three in line for the Governorship could be replaced by a dastardly Republican.

And Farrakhan? Did you see the photo and immediately regret voting for Obama? What about the women’s march leader?

You can't force Northam to resign. There would need to be impeachment proceedings (or whatever the mechanism is under VA law) to force him out. Additionally, you can't run for re-election, which lessens the pressure on Northam.

On Fairfax, not seeing anybody support him. All the Dems I've see are saying either resign or investigate fully. In fact, Fairfax has called for a full investigation, just like Kavanau...oh, scratch that, Kavanaugh was scared of the full investigation.

So, when this happens under a Republican Governor, I want you to remember to be just as objective as you are here when you start frothing at the mouth.

I've said from the beginning I think Northam should resign. And since Fairfax is willing to have a full investigation undertaken (unlike K), I'm more than willing to let that play out. Although if what the women are claiming is true, he should resign too.

The VA state legislators are drafting impeachment articles against Fairfax said a Democrat lawmaker in VA.
