Quite honestly, this kind of thinking is why some women fail to report. It doesn't take a gun or a knife for a woman to fear for her safety or her very life. Maybe she went along just to get away. If she didn't want to do it and was put in a state of duress, it's still rape. If I've learned anything in life, you cannot apply male logic to female thinking.

I'll go with the teeth, if a man has his penis bit in half he's not really gonna be concerned about controlling a woman at the moment.

On Friday, Patrick Hope, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, told CNN that he has begun the process of drafting articles of impeachment against Fairfax and is prepared to introduce them on Monday if the lieutenant governor does not resign before then.

In statements released Saturday, both Tyson and Watson made clear that they're willing to testify at any potential impeachment hearings for the lieutenant governor.

"Our client, Dr. Vanessa Tyson, is fuiiy (sic) prepared to testify at impeachment proceedings and to cooperate with law enforcement in any investigation of Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax," a statement from Tyson's attorneys read, adding that once the legislature hears her testimony and that of corroborating witnesses, "it will conclude that he lacks the character, fitness and credibility to serve in any capacity."

A statement released by Watson's attorneys said both she and "at least two witnesses whom Ms. Watson told of the assault the day after Fairfax raped her" are prepared to testify about her allegation.

Are we just to believe these women who came forward 15-20 years after the alleged acts occurred?

These women should be able to ruin this man’s career on only their word?

FYI, Fairfax has said he’s not resigning. But it looks like the Democrats have decided they would prefer to sacrifice Fairfax instead of the blackface/kkk guys. 🤔

I've looked at Dr. Tyson's picture and find her entirely credible. However, I do have just one question. We know her mouth works, so why didn't she bite down if it was a forced act?

A day after MTP Daily host Chuck Todd explicitly asked her about embattled Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed on Friday afternoon that she hasn’t “heard anything” about the sexual assault allegation against Fairfax.

When asked on Friday if Dr. Vanessa Tyson, the Scripps College (CA) professor who accused Fairfax of forcing her to perform oral sex during the 2004 Democratic National Convention, should be believed, Ocasio-Cortez replied: “I haven’t looked at all into the situation.”

“I said I… look forward to looking into the scenario, but I haven’t heard anything about it quite yet,” Ocasio-Cortez, the supposedly “authentic” freshman lawmaker, added.

But on Thursday’s MTP Daily on MSNBC, Todd, after Ocasio-Cortez said Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) should resign over his blackface controversy, asked her: “What about a Justin Fairfax.”
