Countdown to Northam Resignation

The democratic power players in that state wanted him to resign. But since he's term limited, he could basically just say no and they couldn't impeach him for a photo alone. That's the path he's chosen.
It doesn't matter. If it comes out a Republican wore blackface I don't want to hear a single word from your side.

And what about the LT. Gov???

If the Gov had been an R those power players wouldn't have been so forgiving

But what can they do? He either voluntarily resigns or you impeach. Those are the two paths to removal. Once he said no, do you bring impeachment proceedings for a photo from xx years ago?

You knew it was from xx years ago when you made the thread and was sure he was gone.

Oh, the media pushed it for a time. Until they figured out the "Me Too!" movement was not going to accept the Lieutenant Governor because of his sexual misconduct. Strike out the Attorney General since he also had a questionable photo from his past.

Which left the Republican House Speaker...

And just like that, the whole idea of resignations just died out in the media as well as the Democratic politicians that originally came out in favor of resignation.

Like I said, hypocrites.

They gave up very easily, they said "please resign great sir", he said "no" then they said "oh ok moving on"

That's because all things are taken in context. The body of evidence is considered.
If someone spends a lifetime working for racial inequality he will be more quickly forgiven for a transgression than will the Grand Wizard for committing the same transgression.
No one should find that surprising. It is as it should be.

All the Dems backed off when they figured out if the top three resigned, it would leave a Republican taking over for the VA Gov.

That's your body of evidence.

How about someone who spends a lifetime pretending to work on racial inequality just to garner favor with minority groups?
