Country music thread

ah yes. Ok, I thought it was something more in depth. I knew about the beach house part.
Yeah, he said what he liked about it was he feels it has more than one meaning. He also told some funny stories about hanging out with George Jones. I’d definitely recommend it even if you don’t like Justin. It’s a good listen.

I think I've mentioned it a triple dozen times or so, but Tracy Lawrence is right behind Alan Jackson as my all time fave. Even above Pat.

I discovered a band from the Yellowstone first episode called “The Trishas” Check them out on YouTube if you do not know them. Good musicianship and top notch harmonies. A blend of Texas and Alternative country with a little bit of folk/bluegrass. One of the women is the daughter of singer/songwriter Kevin Welch who wrote Millionaire
And many other songs for others. Sadly they only released two albums about ten years ago and only get back together for special occasions.

I love all things Barham/AA but I’d love to know the motivation behind this one (especially since it happened at almost 1 am).
I like to kick hornets nests is all. Not an isbell fan but I'm sure he's a good dude.

We got a full page handwritten letter from BJ with a merch order, he's a guy that I really admire, different as we may be.

I like what I know about Barham, but I admire Isbell’s commitment to turning his life around.

No doubt. Similar stories, BJ's sobriety tale has made me consider doing the same. I will say he's the only person I've seen who can live stream with Cody Canada and talk enough to not let Cody get a word in!

He absolutely suffers no bullshlt but he honestly seems like one of the best people around as far as his interactions with fans are concerned. I know he is obviously not the only artist to ever do things like this but the handwritten letters in every order, staying hours after every show to take pics at the merch table, interacting with every social media post he’s ever tagged in, etc. He’ll forever be one of my favorites for his songwriting but also how great he is to those that support him.

Bristol just cancelled the Rhythm and Roots Reunion for September. I'm now 0-5 on chances to see Isbell. At least for the first time, the Army isn't to blame.

as I've stated A LOT on this thread, I love the fiddle. I think it's a staple for country music. So I loved Charlie Daniels. RIP and I bet you now have a true fiddle made of gold to play in Heaven Charlie. Thanks for all the great music.

RIP Charlie.

I'll always remember the early days of the Volunteer Jam at Municipal Auditorium. My dad worked for Columbia / Epic records so I always had backstage passes. There were so many performers that the whole basement was "backstage".
