Nothing political about that song IMO. Beautifully done. In a way, I think he (MLK) would be proud of how far we have come, but we can still do better."and when the rounds were fired that April, you were on a balcony when 10,000 tear drops hit the ground in Memphis, Tennessee. You were a prideful rebel yell among a million marching men and you've been a long time gone, good to see ya my old friend..."
Sorry we haven't advanced as far as we should've these past 53 years Mr. King. I hope we find a lot more people like you in the very very near future.
I'm not going to fight over politics here, but I've played this song a lot lately, not just yesterday. To me it speaks of stepping up to unite, lead, and reach your capabilities. I agree with Felker's thoughts on this song that there a lots of people out there with the potential and I just hope they come to light sooner rather than later.
Good post, but Rooster wrote that one solo #TurnpikeForever"and when the rounds were fired that April, you were on a balcony when 10,000 tear drops hit the ground in Memphis, Tennessee. You were a prideful rebel yell among a million marching men and you've been a long time gone, good to see ya my old friend..."

Edit: I shamefully did not title DR King correctly. I have fixed that.
