Disagree. They’re seemingly going for a different sound, at least on this album, and I’m just not crazy about it. And Felker’s lyrics are still better. Brought Me aside (which will be my favorite so of the year but not best), The Rut is a song of the year candidate imo.*prepares to dodge any objects thrown at me*
The Flatland album is better than the new Turnpike.
The sound change was definitely noticeable. It’s not “no shade of green” or “old school” but I still really enjoy it. I see myself going back to the Flatland album more than the Turnpike. What’s crazy is the new album I keep going back to is Miss Morgan’s.
