yall ever heard of Lucero? There are a southern rock country band out of memphis. I saw them a few years ago, think they are getting bigger. They played some shows in London this past month, that's gotta mean something right? You should check em

Lucero is great, you should check out their latest album.

Lucero ROCKS! Their records, songs and live shows just keep getting better 'n' better. Their shows at Blue Cats in the past few years have been throwdowns for the history books.

Speaking of bad-ass Southern rock, Drive-By Truckers are playing Sundown in the City on June 28.

I don't mind her songs, but i reflect to a GAC @ the Opry interview, when she was talking about the "Tim McGraw" song, and said Tim was "The George Jones and Conway Twitty of the new country generation". I had diahareea and vomited at the same time.

did you hear that tim mcgraw/faith hill song where he sings "I want drive through west virginia in the back seat of a cadillac, ya know some cowboys like me go out like that"? I never had any major problems with Tim McGraw, in fact I liked some of his songs, but to compare himself on the same level as Hank Sr? Can't stand it.

I like old country music. Hank Williams Jr and Sr, Waylon, Willie, David Allan Coe, Johnny Cash, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kentucky Headhunters, George Strait etc

I hate most of the new stuff. I do like Brad Paisley, Gary Allen and Eric Church.

Miranda Lambert is hot. She is no way too skinny.

i agree. a lot of new country is really popish. rascal flats etc. Alan Jackson is one of my personal favorites. But in college (i just graduated, it seems like years ago when i say that haha ) we would go out in the parking lot at the apartment, put on the ipod and set it to my hank, waylon, DAC mix, and put the cooler in the bad and sit around and drink and blare some hank. The funny thing is that in my apartment complex there was a mason dixon line. One side of the apartment was all black, and the other all white, and when we would be out there singin and stuff, a lot of the "thug life wannabes" would cower haha
