Country music thread

I don’t like nor hate Jinks ftr. But let’s not pretend most artists mentioned in the last half of this entire thread are known by more than 10% of listening audiences

Jason Isbell is certainly no longer "barely known." He has now won 4 Grammys and was nominated for CMA album of the year. Two consecutive nights of a full Tennessee Theater @ $80/ticket argues otherwise as well.

Cody Jinks is known to anybody who keeps up with country music, too.

Morgan is probably the only one in the category of "<10% known."

The Tennessee Theatre is a great venue. But does it even seat 2k? No, it doesn't. So, in the heart of country music territory, Isbell is playing a 1700 seat theatre. ln crowds that search out better music than what they're force fed, Isbell is doing great. Jinks is doing good. Both are relatively unknown to the masses.

Austin is as real as they come. And someone I’m proud to call a friend. Plenty of people like his music. Different strokes for different folks.

Add at least two people to the list of people who know/ will know the name cody jinks 😂 left the hotel a note.

On another note, the Blind Horse in Greenville is a pretty good venue.

I had some worries that it would be similar to Cotton Eyed Joe, being a dance club first and a concert venue second. No line dance remix **** going on between acts and as light on ****ty music as you can expect in 2018.
