Ashley Monroe’s voice is perfection. Not even sure I like the album after just half a listen, but just because it’s her singing, it’ll get a minimum of 30 more listens.

The fact that I think I do like it, and like it a lot, it’s probably got hundreds of listens left

That’s a good one too. It actually, I wouldn’t say brought me on to Chris knight because I’ve heard him before, but it got me diving deeper into his catalog.

Jamey Johnson in Salem on Jun 22. If I could get out of DC in time, I could make it and spend the weekend with my parents an hour away. Kacey will be here that Monday night. Isbell will be here (Vienna) July 22 and I might even go see Pat again in Annapolis the Sunday before Jamey comes to Salem. I’ll be accepting donations if y’all want to help me catch all four shows 😉.

Still waiting on Sturgill, hoping Randy Rogers comes back some time, and anxious to see where Ashley Monroe plays her next tour.

Martin, Jolene, Mary, Colder Weather, Free, Hwy 20, Goodbye In Her Eyes, Sweet Annie, and the last half of the Uncaged album are just fantastic.

I do believe Sturgil Simpson has became my favorite country artist. Sounds a little like Waylon, and his music us just different enough to separate himself from everyone else.

Edit #2 - just listened to The Promise.. he is as close to Waylon ad you can get and still be himself.

Jinks is probably going to win a Grammy, have record of the year, and break into the mainstream audience, and he’s selling out everywhere he goes. I’d say he’s doing pretty good.
