CP on taunting call

90% chance you're over the age of 50 or have never played sports.

Under 40 and played 3 sports in high school and after.

Being excited does not mean taunting BEFORE the actual score.

Idiotic.

CP on taunting call: “I seen the ref had threw the flag in the backfield, so I was just trying to look back to see what the flag was for."

Clearly CP is shining in the classroom

It is a great rule. Stop being a punk before you even score. I hope they call it every time.

The biggest issue I have with it is the double standard. If a defensive player makes a great tackle, he will sometimes stare the guy down for 4 or 5 seconds. Is that not the same thing? If a defensive player breaks up a long pass, he will sometimes emphatically signal incomplete to celebrate what he did. Is that not the same thing? People get excited. It happens. It's a stupid rule.

He might do it sometimes, but in this instance he was clearly reacting to the flag.

He was also the only guy on the field in orange worth half a damn

Doesn't matter what we think about the rule (I think it sux) those are the rules and a measure of maturity is to abide by them. Especially when the penalty is this harsh, 2 weeks in a row. I think he devalued his stock.

Wish I had the talent to watch flags, the coke guy, our cheerleaders, and the cutie in row 55 before I could score from the 5 yard line.

The only thing that has devalued CP's stock is his route running. There isn't another guy on the team that I would rather see with the ball in their hands than CP.

It really irks me, when fans make fun of our players for not being the brightest. I mean he's not the smartest guy, so what? He just wasn't born with that natural ability. What if we put on display whatever it is that you guys don't do well. Whether it be basketball, physics, golf, tennis, public speaking, or whatever. Put that in display and have people make fun of you for it. The guy is an amazing football player. I'm not going to make fun of him because he falls short in some other areas.

Stupid rule but if you got flagged for it against Mizzou and know the rule hasn't changed since last weekend don't do it. Looking at the flag? He's joking right? I'm not sure if I've ever seen a player look at a flag DURING the play

I've noticed that people who are gifted with something extra in one area seem light in another. Still, the purpose was scoring the touchdown. It's a simple concept, and that is what he should have done.

He was totally showboating, and then he seemed to catch himself and try to stop, but it was too late.

Watching it live, especially after last week, you knew a flag was coming.

He turned around almost backwards to go into the endzone, that's taunting in every sense of the word.

Not that it matters, it was offsetting penalties, so the play never happened
