CP - What's He Up To?

If this happens it will be a HUGE mistake!!! (1) Previous rumors were that C.P. did poorly academically and that had we even earned a bowl bid, that he would not have been eligible. So, for him to suddenly be eligible before next season or before spring practice means some shadly academic things are going on.

(2) If he returns and gets injured, it will be horrible for him. Of course, he could possibly be like Willis McGahee and be drafted high even though he sustained an injury.

Also, I am not sure if I believe that he will return. I am not doudting your source but it defies logic on his part.

So u don't want CP to come back? What's wrong with u ppl? And just because u heard rumors doesn't mean they're true(grade issues). He could learn a lot about his position with another year in the SEC and benefit greatly.. I don't think his plan is to be used only as a return man, and that's about all he knows how to do right now.

No one on this web site has any inside knowledge regarding CP's grades. Well, unless CP, his coaches, or his professors have VN accounts.

Many on here accept a rumor without one iota of evidence that CP's grades are poor, yet demand a 'link' to any story that says he is returning or his grades are satisfactory.

He is up to 6 feet 4 inches tall. Unless he has grown more....

If he returns to U.T. for his senior season, he would be making a mistake.... I don't see him improving his draft stock by much, even in the best case scenerio....

Obvious route running isn't important in the NFL then. Nobody cares as long as you can shimmy and two step

I have a bud who hangs with CP. He says that CP is going to come back to win the Heisman and help Butch win all he can. Now,what do all you Trolls have to say? Fk u bammers & Gators! Well with CP we went 5-7 this year. So who knows what our chances are with him next year. Let's see if Butch can coach since he hasn't proved much yet.

Ok so posters on here seem to not understand the game of the NFL. Cp should go pro yes, but to say he couldn't improve himself as a player and receiver is not true. Cp is a great athlete but being athletic doesn't make you an nfl star. Everyone is a freak athlete or they wouldn't be in the NFL.

Cp would definitely benefit from coming back to get another year of sec football under his belt. His route running is very suspect and his edge blocking needs work. Hot reads need alot of improving, as well as his physicality off the ball.

Cp is a star and will be a star bc he's that kinda player but to say he needs to go is false.

The last thing is risk injury. GTFO its football you risk injury everyday

The first paragraph kind of threw me but reread of that and the rest of your post is spot on.

Sometime in the last week or so, there was a post saying something to the effect that UT and Vandy don't accept nearly as many transfer courses from JUCO players as do the rest of the SEC schools. As a result, they have to take a ton more classes, and in the same time period as those who have more credits. As a result, they come in needing to take a much heavier course load, including during fall semester. That's supposed to be just one of the academic issues that have put UT athletics at a disadvantage.

Don't know if that's correct (or even if I remember the post correctly), but if true, that might be the rumored problem: he might need to take just too damn many courses to maintain enrollment status.

If someone remembers that post and could provide a link or more info, I'd appreciate it. Some things are just too hairy to do on a phone. :hi:

Guys, I don’t know where you get this “Patterson is powerless, he has no recourse but to go to the NFL” belief, based on his fall semester academic performance. Over the years I have heard of numerous football players who fell behind in their coursework during the fall semester and then worked feverishly during the spring, intersession and summer semesters to reinstate their eligibility. It is all contingent on one thing, how much they want to play college football.

what is the $$$ difference between a top 15 pick and a top 5 pick??

Also, the way CP makes his cuts in his running, One bad break and the ACL is done!
