Crime Ridden Memphis

Do you have a link to this particular or have more detail of who it involved? I was surprised about a year ago when I was told there are MS13 houses in Knoxville. Would not have believed it myself had my wife and I not seen one a few weeks ago at breakfast.
Drugs have always been in Knoxville because of the interstates

EXCLUSIVE: 'He was a Weird Pervert': Felon charged with 'violently snatching' billionaire heiress, 38, as she jogged in Memphis offered woman '$100 to f***' and 'stalked others at his brother's house', neighbors say - as search for missing woman continues

The man accused of 'violently snatching' billionaire heiress Eliza Fletcher while she was out jogging in the early hours of September 2 has been described as a 'creep' and 'pervert' by neighbors.

Authorities in Memphis announced Sunday that 38-year-old Cleotha Abston was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence following Fletcher's disappearance.

One neighbor told DailyMail.com exclusively that Abston had routinely offered women money for sex and stalked others while hanging around the apartment complex where his brother lived.

His arrest comes just over two years after his release from prison on kidnapping charge. Abston served 20 years for the kidnapping and robbery of lawyer Kemper Durand in Memphis in May 2000.

She described him as a 'pervert,' who once snuck up behind her and propositioned her for sex. He did the same to other women in the complex, and at times would sit in his black SUV gawking at women walking by or sitting on stoops.

'When women were around, he would sit in the truck and stare,' April said.

'He was a weird pervert,' she added. 'He watched me come on the porch, then came up the stairs behind me and said, 'I will give you $100 to f***,' she recalled of a creepy encounter she had with the suspect last winter.

'Do you think I'm a h** that needs your money?' she said she replied to him.

'He approached at least two other girls here with the same line, offering money for sex,' she said.

Abston still has not said where Fletcher is or what he did to her. The affidavit said evidence, including blood, found in Abston's car led them to believe Fletcher suffered a 'serious injury.'

People like this are sick and prison time is probably not sufficient for most of them. Sorry to jump to conclusions but it appears they got their man who at least committed the murder.

She has a right to jog whenever, and live doing it.
To be sure, no one in this thread is arguing there is no right to do as you say. If they are, well I could not agree with you more.

But that is not this discussion. We have prisons, judges, prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, etc, etc because a significant portion of the population do not care about other peoples' rights. What we are talking about is the best way to deal with those who have no respect for others' rights.

Need to move up north to sell dope and commit crimes. If they do not just let you walk out of jail after being arrested for felonies because "having to post bail is racist"....they will catch you with nearly a kilo of cocaine, already bagged up in 100 bags, over $9000 in cash etc....and set your bail at less money than you make in a week. About $2000....or a days wages, $350, if you are a female.

This is the biggest cocaine bust EVER in this town/area. These folks will walk out of jail and not be seen again. Anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature knows this .

How can liberals seriously be as dumb as a bag of hammers, about everything? Seriously...every single issue. Astounding.

Fwiw...where I live in NC these folks bonds would be close to 100x this. His would be a couple hundred grand...you know, to make sure he was actually at trial to answer for having $100,000 street value of cocaine bagged up and actively being sold? Fwiw...i believe soft drugs should be legalized, taxed, etc. Meth, coke, fentanyl etc destroy families, lives, and communities. People shoot gas station attendants in the face over $50 when they need their fix from these drugs. Different animal altogether.

People who sell these drugs are willing to commit far more dangerous crimes than selling meth. They are also contributing to the destruction of families and neighborhoods. Democrat soft on crime policies hurt entire communities.

Wouldn't allow? Funny choice of words for you to use when talking about an adult and equal.

Actually it isn’t. I am the male in this relationship. And while we do value each other’s opinion greatly, at the end of the day if I put my foot down, then that is how it is going to be.

And that is honestly how she prefers it. It is great be married to a woman that truly enjoys being a woman.

My husband and I had this discussion and he was like ‘I do worry about your safety and would have said something, but you wouldn’t be waking up that early anyway’ 😂 he’s right.

Me and the wife have about the same relationship. She rules the roost on 90-95% of things and makes good decisions but she recognizes that every now and then she lets her emotion cloud her judgement and I have to "put my foot down". It's rare but she respects it when it comes to that.

Pretty accurate statement on the crime rate in Knoxville. Have a few friends that work in EMT and it is amazing how the gang related violence is not being reported. If it was reported daily it would alarm alot of Knoxvillians. The Detroit drug pipeline and the territory shootings in Western Heights are almost daily.
I remember when Rausch was chief of KPD and lied about the gang graffiti that was increasing all over town. He said skateboarders were responsible. And now this jackass is the head of the TBI.

My wife runs our household. Makes all the decisions, allocates all the resources.

I rarely over rule. But it happens.

Yep. Things go my wife’s way a lot, hell, most of the time. The old happy wife happy life deal.

This point we are hitting on is rare. But it is known and what she and I agree is best for us.

Correct from the West brothers building Market Square to those from up North to down South the interstate and the location has been ideal for logistics. The problem now isn't the coming and going of drugs, it those suppliers from out of state cities moving in.

They wanted and out of sight out of mind community although they knew it was increasing. This is what happens when you elect Mayor Kincannon whos background is education into leadership roles. She has no connection to the city or those in areas with the highest crime rate. She got called out for showing up last year at a park for a photo op after a kids from AE had been killed.

Put your foot down. lol. How masculine.

I am the male in the relationship. I voice an opinion. She is free to agree or disagree and make her decision accordingly. I don't like being in relationships with children. Kudos to you though.

What’s your longest relationship?

And what are you talking about “relationships with children”? Like wtf.

The out of town element has always been there too. I remember stories about it 20-30yrs ago of new York hands moving in
