NYC School's Faculty rebels against principal who 'conspired to get rid of White Teachers' and who 'definitely has something against white people'

  • High School for Law and Public Service principal Paula Lev is facing probe by NYC Dept of Education for allegedly discriminating against white teachers
A Washington Heights high school principal is facing a probe by the New York City Department of Education for allegedly discriminating against white teachers.

The probe was launched after faculty members at High School for Law and Public Service accused principal Paula Lev of discriminating against staff and conspiring to get a white colleague fired.

The complaint, which was obtained by the New York Post, claims that Lev 'flagrantly but unsuccessfully attempted to divide our school by race' and told an employee that she 'was going to get rid of all these white teachers that aren't doing anything for the kids of our community.'

Paula Lev, the principal of the High School for Law and Public Service, is facing a probe by the New York City Department of Education for allegedly discriminating against white teachers, according to a complaint filed with the Department of Education's Office of Equal Opportunity

A faculty member writes in the OEO complaint that Lev, 39, who is Dominican, approached him with a plan to terminate an unidentified white, female employee. Lev asked him to get a state education certification so he would have more qualifications than the white employee and Lev could fire her as 'excess' staff.

'Ms. Lev has asked me to conspire with her on a couple of occasions in getting rid of my colleague,' the faculty member wrote in the complaint.

'She also stated to me in Spanish that she was 'going to get rid of all these white teachers that aren't doing anything for the kids of our community. I believe Ms. Lev is not suited for the position of principal because of the comments she has made to me about white people and the malicious ways in which she thinks and speaks. She is not fit to be a leader of a school.

'As a school staff, we have lost confidence, creditability, trust, and most importantly we have lost hope in Ms. Lev as a principal at the High School for Law & Public Service.'

It is unclear if Lev knew about the complaint, but on the last day of school she laid off the faculty member who filed it and said he was no longer needed at the school and should look for work elsewhere in the DOE.

'He blew the whistle on her and a week later he was (let go),' an unnamed source told the New York Post.

There's not just a disgruntled teacher overreacting here, the principal received a blistering 83.3% vote of no confidence by her entire faculty.

"On June 24, the majority of the school's nearly 50 faculty members convened to consider four possible reasons to vote no confidence in Lev, including that she had 1) "flagrantly but unsuccessfully attempted to divide our school community by race" and 2) "disrespected, slandered, and/or arbitrarily pursued respected educators, to the detriment of our entire school community."
Additionally, the ballot stated that Lev "constantly violated our contract" and failed to consult with staff on critical school decisions.

“With nearly the entire 40+ membership voting, including tenured and non-tenured teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service professionals, 83.3 percent indicated they no longer have confidence in our principal to lead our school,” an email to staff stated."

Best nap I ever took. Was not at all happy when they woke me up. That’s some good stuff they stick in your veins.

I had a back procedure about a month ago. Told the anesthetist I had a headache, and she said she'd fix that. Within seconds the room was spinning - over and over like a Ferris Wheel not around and around like a Merry-Go-Round. Like you, I was sleeping so well, and they woke me up to send me home ... there oughta be a law.

Boston University Offers Both '21 Days of Unlearning Racism' and 'Learning Antiracism'

Boston University has begun a new program to right the wrongs of racism within.

As reported by Campus Reform, the school started its “21 Days of Unlearning & Learning” endeavor on July 6th.

And to be clear, it isn’t merely about not being racist.

It’s been said that “antiracism” is different than being colorblind, and the name of BU’s initiative drives that home.

To reference a popular Christian saying, evidently, those who can shake off their racism are left with an antiracism hole in their hearts.

If you need to know what “antiracism” entails, I place you in the wonderfully capable hands of CNN:

Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.

Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.

Without revolutionary theory there can be no revolutionary movement.

Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism.

The goal of socialism is communism.

Democracy is indispensable to socialism.

The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency.

The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.

Fascism is capitalism in decay.

The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.

A lie told often enough becomes the truth.

There are no morals in politics; there is only expedience. A scoundrel may be of use to us just because he is a scoundrel.

Oklahoma BANS Critical Race Theory from schools and threatens to revoke licenses of teachers who promote it a week after head of national teachers union said they will sue states over crackdown on lessons

Public school teachers in Oklahoma could have their teaching licenses suspended for teaching certain concepts about race and racism under new rules approved Monday by the State Board of Education.

With just one opposing vote, the board approved emergency rules to comply with a bill approved by the Republican-led Legislature this year that purports to ban so-called 'Critical Race Theory.'

The new law prohibits public school teachers of grades K-12 from teaching eight different concepts about race, including that an individual, by virtue of his or race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.

It also prohibits teaching that any individual should feel discomfort or guilt on account of his or her race or sex.

I wonder if the pushback against CRT will result in collateral damage against standard and accepted parts of history education. McGraw-Hill was busted several years ago for changing the term slaves to workers from Africa in the Texas-adopted US History textbook. Neither of my kids were taught that the Puritans slaughtered the Wampanaug tribe not too long after the vaunted First Thanksgiving.

So much is glossed over and left out that it's like the dark periods of American history were resolved as quickly, neatly, and without lingering issues as the ending of a sitcom episode

Public defender who Opposed Critical Race Theory being taught in NYC schools claims she was forced out of her job at the Legal Aid Society because 'she is white' and after 'McCarthy' style attack labeled her racist

A New York City public defender is suing Legal Aid Society for wrongful dismissal, claiming that she was forced from her job and 'discriminated against on the basis of race'.

Maud Maron worked for Legal Aid Society from 1998-2006, and then from 2017 until her departure. She is currently on sabbatical, but in court documents claims the group have made it impossible to return.

'None of this would have happened if I just said I loved books like White Fragility, and I'm a fan of Bill de Blasio's proposals for changing New York City public schools, and I planned to vote for Maya Wiley for mayor,' she told Bari Weiss for her Substack newsletter.

'The reason they went after me is because I have a different point of view.'

In late 2019 her boss, Tina Luongo, informed her she was being investigated following a complaint from members of the Black Attorneys of Legal Aid Caucus and Attorneys of Color of Legal Aid, Weiss wrote.

'I knew the accusations were baseless,' Maron told Weiss.

'It had everything to do with them deeming me an enemy of their politics and trying to go after me at work.'

A former colleague of Maron's said: 'It was McCarthyism. That is the only word to describe it.'

Maron was cleared in January 2020.

Nikki Haley has called for every governor in America to ban the teaching of critical race theory, saying the subject is 'harmful for the well-being of our children'

Haley told Fox News: 'Think about a five-year-old that starts kindergarten and they don't know anything about color.

'If she's White, you're telling her she's bad. If she's Brown or Black, you're telling her she will never be enough and she's always a victim. That's harmful for the well-being of our children.'

The former South Carolina governor argued that teaching CRT will have 'long-lasting effect on children' and called on governors to not take money from the Department of Education to fund classes on critical race theory.
