Why are FEMA officials telling hurricane victims in Puerto Rico to register for help ONLINE when they have no power or internet access???

That’s what happens when you put everything online and rely too much on that technology.

The first word in 'FEMA' is Federal. You really needed to ask that question? Come to think about it, on;y one of the four words represented by the acronym actually address any kind of problem. The other three refer to a bureaucracy. And we are surprised.

that people whose homes have been destroyed by hurricanes or floods or other natural disasters don't want or need help from the government. Laugh. Ask the people of Houston is they have been helped by FEMA.

Trump needs a new team of PR people, at least those handling him on the ground. Just screw up after screw up makes him look awful.

Some of y’all need to do some more reading...

This **** ain’t on Trump.

You aren't getting it.

You don't go there, hand out paper towels, say everything is great and don't I deserve a pat on the back, and leave an hour early.

You go, you hand out food and sit down and talk to people and show compassion, you let the mayor's criticisms of you, even if meritless, bounce off you. You just say its a tough situation and "We will try even harder." You don't insult her and imply its all their own fault for being poor.

Then, you don't leave an hour early. You leave two hours LATE.

Like I said, you aren't getting it. But then again, neither is Trump.

Oh, and you don't compare their death toll to that of "a real tragedy like Katrina," implying that theirs really isn't so bad. What a freakin' moron we have for POTUS.

The script was already written - doesn't matter what he does. The facts don't matter.

This is exactly right.

People today do not know how to deal with disaster. They think you click some things on a computer and supplies just show up. They can’t comprehend most every road and bridge being washed out or covered in trees and downed power lines. They don’t understand the physical part of logistics, because they don’t ever consider it. You go to Walmart and things are there. You go to the corner gas station and it has all the gas you could want. And they have little to no idea how to be self sufficient.

This is a first world problem. If you’re stuck with no supplies and it’s a shock to you, congrats you live in a great part of the world.

Disaster? There's a lot of people that can't deal with a simple "crisis." It's the age of call 911 and someone will come save me. People watch too much tv and think that's how real life works. Every household needs an emergency plan and to be able to survive without power and water for a few days, and maybe more depending on where they live/types of hazards present.

The Mayor, Carmen Yulin, is not allowing anyone to distribute…There are dozens and thousands and thousands of food and when people ask we cannot give anything away because [Mayor] Carmen Yulin says that we cannot take anything out... A lot of people have been posting videos (sobbing – inaudible) …and no-one is paying attention.
