yeah buddy, that was a bellringer if there ever was one.......and Crompton always seem to be happy that he delivered the blow.

I think he made a couple good throws but definately looked hesistant to throw, instead tucking it away. The tds were awesome, but Meachem made awesome plays on both of them. Im not ready to say he's the second coming based off two chuck and pray's.

Im sorry but with all this hubub about Tebow and Stafford being world class freshmen QBs its good to see Crompton come in the game and shine. He, in my very humble opinion is 2x the qb they are right now. What say ye VOLNATION? :dance2:
:) Crompton did look awesome, but he is a redshirt. The other boys are true first year guys. It is going to make for some great games in the next few years.

I like him, because he just stepped up and about took down the number one rated defense in the country. We did lose and I do realize that, but man he showed alot of potential out there against some big odds that were clearly against him. Now I am not saying anything negative about Ainge he has done a great turn around from last year and I do not want another controversy but he had better come out swinging in the spring

Did he not come out swinging THIS spring?

I say ye have no freakin' idea what you are talking about. You can't compare them at this stage -- 3/4 of one game for Crompton versus spot plays for Tebow across the season. You have no basis for evaluating them.

I said the other night that Crompton looked good and reminded me of Tebow a lot. I'm not ready to say one is better than the other. And I think anyone who definitively says he does know which is better (i.e., Crompton is "2x the qb" that Tebow is) is either a total homer or utterly uninformed. Or both (as in your case).

What, exactly, is 2x the QB? What, by weight?

Both QB's Tebow and Crompton should give the SEC a hard time. P Harvin looks good to

Who ya got Law, us or the Pigs

Boy, that is a tough one.

I liked LSU agin' ya' because I figured they were due to play a complete game and they really fought hard to overcome their usual miscues. I didn't know what to think of the Ainge situation because I wasn't sure how injured he was and knew nothing of Crompton.

Both you and Arky have a lot to play for. The SECW is still in doubt and I think Arky feels like they deserve a little more respect than they've gotten. Still a lot of people treating their win over Auburn as flukish/Auby looking ahead to Florida, what have you. So no doubt they want to pound you.

On the flip side, UT surely wants to either show that Ainge is fine and would put up big numbers or that Crompton is the real deal and leading from gun to gun can be a little more in control than last weekend, a bit cooler.

If I had to choose right now.... I think I have to go with Arky because they can control the clock better with their running game than pretty much any other team in the SEC.

Now, having said that, my support for them is lukewarm. They passed well versus SC, but your defensive secondary is about 80 krillion times better than SC's. Plus, if the QB situation resolves well, then you can score plenty enough to beat Arky if all they do is run.

Game is at Arky. So, right now, I'm thinking Arky minus 4.

I'm watching the replay right now and I think that Crompton might be borderline crazy. I just saw that play where he bulldozed the DB and then he got up and started talking trash to him again.. Gotta love it..

That scares me, Crompton and Tebow will run over you but in the SEC you will not do that to long before you are hurt.

One of the most impressive things I saw Crompton do was when LSU had one of our screens covered, and instead of forcing it in there to Anderson, he threw it in the dirt. Some freshmen would force that ball in there, maybe get it intercepted.

Just wanted to add- to everybody saying Cromp should be better than those guys because he's had a redshirt season---last spring and fall were his first practices because he was injured his first year so actually he's had more time to study the playbook but he's had the same amount of practice time as Tebow and Stafford FWIW

*also it can be debated how much he learned from ole Randy that redshirt season:whistling: *

Crompton as a JR will be a stud. Ainge as a SR will be an even bigger stud than he is right now. We're set for the next 3 seasons at QB.

Now if we could just find a running game to speak of..

I think we will. Receiver play was the big offensive MO this offseason, methinks. Therefore, with the blatantly obvious lack of a run game, our coaches will dedicate ohhhhhhhhhhh about 8 months to the run game. :)

While I think our schedule is more difficult next season, we'll still be a major player.

I am not very impressed with Mr.Tbo.
Teams are preparing for Chrissy Leak. Tbo had some success early, comming in in spots, but his style is pure sandlot ball. That wont cut it when he doesn`t have Leaks shadow to hide in.

Who's the best freshman QB in the SEC? I'll render an opinion late Saturday night. But for right now, T looks pretty darn good.

Ours is out of the running. Tough to be impressive on the pine.

Tough question. Frankly, all the FR QBs stink right now. But that's the way it is. Too tough to learn it all and play very well when you're not sure what to do...in about 2-3 seconds with DL coming down on you...and WRs open for a second.
