I was bartending in the mid 80's and tried to like hairy navals, purple hooter shooters, yellow birds...yellow birds would make you wet the bed, but I had to put so much hard liquor in them so they wouldn't be so sweet that it ruined it and I found I just preferred straight liquor.

watched an episode of Booze Traveler where the host went to Scotland. They had this festival where they threw lumber and large rocks and various manly things. Every dude had a kilt and a bottle of scotch whiskey attached that they swigged. Looked like fun
