Because political speeches, from all sides, are tiresome. Reasonable people can have different beliefs and still be friendly, or so I like to think. The Zone should be a neutral hangout from all the crap going on these days (again, from all sides.) It’s nice to have a place that’s just fun.

Don’t see yourself out. Political or religious arguments don’t belong on internet message boards. Usually, those discussions need to be nuanced and filled with inflection that can’t be expressed using this medium.
