It's an alternative to a red sauce for people that have heartburn issues or acid reflux etc. but it should have been clear on the menu. If it was an upscale restaurant I'm inclined to believe you misread the menu. But of course I could be wrong and your server made an error. My last guess is the kitchen screwed up.

Yeah cuz it did say marinara. I checked after I took the first bite. Live and learn. They also have this meal called rocky top. Looks like a bunch of slop piled on a hamburger won’t eat that ever again.

@Behr I just had a supposed traditional lasagna that had a cheese sauce and no marinara even tho menu showed it. Is it possible to have traditional lasagna without marinara? Oh it was gross
