No kidney for you!

I am overdue for a return to Ktown and Neyland. Y'all let me know if there's a VN gathering of some sort afoot, if you have an extra ticket which I may acquire, etc. :hi:

What game? I sell my two big games each year to cover cost of tickets and donation (you know, FL, AL, GA whatever are the big draws for the season). Any of the other games I would have a ticket to spare, unless we have friends come in to go. Let me know if you ever get a definite date. Also have two extra center court Lady Vols tickets if you want to see them play.

We never meet up. None of us know each other. We would all hate one another.

Did you ever get a steak at Big Vern’s in Shamrock, TX?

And, Behr, I got the chow chow made from my great grandmother’s recipe.

If Joe will come to a game in Knoxville, I’ll take him a jar. I’m not selfish.

Never have eaten at any notable places in Texas. I can imagine that the steaks in Texas are really good.

Thank you. We'll see what's afoot in the Fall. :hi:

I don’t know if it’s notable or not. I generally don’t eat meat, can spend weeks in Europe and never let a piece of the stuff cross my lips, don’t miss it one bit when it’s not around. That said, I’ll plan a trip home from CA via Shamrock to get a Big Vern steak.😍😍😍😍😍😍

Where in Texas is Shamrock?

I've had steaks from many a place and I would guess the one that my tastebuds miss most is the Kensington Club steak I got from Steak and Ale in Shreveport, La, in 1984.

It’s barely in Texas driving I40 west; or almost out of TX driving I40 east. I think that is called the panhandle section. First time we just needed a stop coming home, asked around and everybody (not that there were many😂) said Big Vern’s. When we got to it, I almost left, combination gas station/consignment store/50’s diner, but really no where else to go. It was soooo good! Now on our trips we plan stops there so we can eat at BV’s.

Last time we went through there was 1992 on our way to Alaska. All I remember is Amarillo. We spent the night and got the hell outta there. Ha

I don't like Texas, especially Wichita falls. "Its not the end of the world, but you can see it from there"

Do you use Turmeric?

I've got to where I sprinkle it on everything, even in my tea. That shiz is GOOD!

I use turmeric for certain dishes, mal. Every try scrambled eggs 'n' onions with a sprinkle of yellow curry powder?

Behr - what are some good seasonings to put on skinless chicken breast cooked in skillet on stovetop ?
