Long story, but Mine shows .98 every time and it drives me nuts. Mainly because it drives me nuts. Smh.

You getting use to yours and liking it even more?

Yes. The added features in golf mode are unreal. Layup distances, carry distance, etc. in know you don’t care about golf, but still.

It locks in the gps a lot faster too. Cycling mode is great too. Trying swimming later this week hopefully. The morning updates are fun. I apparently still don’t get enough deep sleep, so I find that interesting. But only because it’s been an issue for years, but I thought things were getting better thanks to medicine I take. Oh well. lol if I get busy or in a hurry it will inform of my increased stress level and tell me to stop and breathe. That’s probably a good thing

prior to my medication, no. But I’ve been on this stuff about 18 months, and I probably recall dreaming 4-5 nights a week now
You look like you're pretty high-strung as Billiam. I saved a screen snip and might make it my new avi some day. Were you scowling while looking at a delicious baked tater with sour cream?

Seriously, I dream every night and take some meds. I can't do ambien. Within 30 seconds after I wake, my dreams are gone. I have never been able to remember them. Even keeping a notepad beside the bed, I can start writing my dream and literally a minute later I am looking at the page in confusion.

I'm wired differently for sure. hahaha

@Behr, mapmyride (an under armor app/site) measured the route at 15.94. My watch says 15.92. That could easily be me leaning into a couple of curves/turns. I’m going to measure it with my car this evening…

That's awesome! That's a good ride too. I've never tried any other of the sports except walking.

I've walked the straight and narrow and I've worn a rebel's brand
Sometimes I've had to go without for bein' my own man
I've rallied to the cause when I knew the cause was right
I've cut against the grain, but I've kept my peace of mind
And I wouldn't have it any other way
If there's a price for bein' me, that's one I'll have to pay
I'll take the good and bear the bad until my dyin' day
I wouldn't have it any other way
Oh, I wouldn't have it any other way

That photo was after a half marathon, so I probably was a little out there. I can at best only remember pieces of my dreams. Like last night I was swimming under a Dick’s Sporting Goods I used to work at in grad school. No idea why there were underground water channels beneath the store, or why people had me swimming there.

@rocytop2624 you dream most vividly in REM sleep, but can dream in any stage. No idea if the watch is accurate, but I feel like I probably don’t get enough deep sleep. Maybe I skip deep sleep and go straight to REM. Prior to Doxepin, I don’t think I ever advanced from light sleep.

and, no I don’t have sleep apnea, the Army had me tested. Twice. Pretty sure I discussed it here, but I spent my whole deployment in the most f-d sleep schedule ever and I never managed to sleep right again.

My "sleep coach" suggested earplugs and a mask. I did both and I'm tracking the levels to see if there are any changes. Both my other Samsung watches seemed to be very accurate, at least on the times, and the levels were consistent. This one is supposed to be even better. We'll see.

It is remarkable how accurate the times are.

My average sleep times are 10:50 pm to 4:29 am according to my watch. I go to bed right at 10:30 every night and my alarms is set for 4:30am.

Exie... What the hell is happening to Asheville?? I have heard some bad things lately, but thought it was just bluster. Sounds like it really is getting bad there...

Democrat-run tourist town in North Carolina sees violent crime spike as police dwindle: 'Perfect storm'
There’s truth in there, but it’s spun like hell. Just as a conservative would feel about a similar article from a far-left outlet. David Zack (APD) and Van Duncan (BCSO) are good folks, then the “anonymous sources” 🙄, and Chad Nesbitt is a tub-thumping nutball, JMO. One thing to remember about presenting changes in terms of percentages is that it dramatizes increases from previous relatively low numbers. 11 murders through August or whatever are 11 too many, but a lot of cities would be grateful to have only that many. But this is what journalism has devolved to these days. Click-bait for all.

Most of the murders are drug-related, the homelessness issue is mostly drug-related, as is the associated dumb-chit street crime. The cost of living is crazy here, with huge income disparity, and police, firefighters, nurses, teachers, office workers, blue collar workers etc. find it nearly impossible to buy a house. That’s a big factor in the loss of public safety officers - they aren’t paid nearly enough, and they definitely aren’t paid enough to bring in new officers.

Antifa, LMFAO. Not much has happened in the way of protests here since George Floyd. Yes, APD got a lot of public criticism. A cop beat the chit out of a black guy several years back for, now, what was it? Murder? Rape? Domestic assault? Armed robbery? Vehicular homicide? Oh, that’s right: jaywalking. And he had a known record of excessive violence against suspects, and his fellow officers covered up for him, until he finally got caught on cellphone video. Don’t get all poor-me when criticized for actions by a fellow officer when this guy’s crap was covered up. (And others have not exactly been Sheriff Andy.) Later, during a peaceful protest, APD tear-gassed the crowd, a lot of which was families and kids. That was just stupid, and it really poured gasoline on the fire of public opinion. If a department wants to refute these negative portrayals, then show that they’re incorrect, or at least that things are improving. Pouting is never attractive.

I like the current APD chief. I hope he can stem the tide and get staffing back up. I don’t think all police officers are KKK, but I sure as hell don’t think there aren’t a number of bad apples with a lot of undeserved protection. Talk is cheap. Get out and show people that you mean it when you say that you protect and serve all citizens.
