Actually, I know EXACTLY what's used. I would post the recipe if I wouldn't get fired for leaking proprietary info on a message board, but the icing is fairly simple. Powdered sugar, water, vanilla flavor, binding agents...that's basically it. The biscuit recipe is a little more complex. You think they use real icing on fake biscuits?

In a pinch, I’ll actually eat can biscuits. I call them flop biscuits because the noise they make when you bust them open. Stole the name from my dad.
It’s tough to make biscuits for a single and they don’t hold up well after you make them. I can get the small flop biscuits, eat two at dinner and then have two sausage biscuits for breakfast and only waste one
I go for the Hungry Jack ones on the rare occasions I can’t resist the craving of a biscuit. I agree the adding stuff to them (blueberries, chocolate chips, icing, etc) seems weird. And flop biscuits just flat out don’t work for biscuits and gravy.I like Grands and even Hungry Jack just for something easy and different. But joking aside, blueberry and chocolate chip biscuits with icing does nothing for me.
I have the same issue. I’m glad they make the cans with only five biscuits but a lot of the time they are sold out when I get there. It’s tough to make biscuits for a single and they don’t hold up well after you make them. All I know is that since I generally don’t get finished wrapping until 2 am Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day, I am NOT making cinnamon rolls from scratch five hours later. PB canned cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning are a thirty year tradition for us. So there.
