Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal gives Communism a boost

Proving what a dolt he truly is, Connecticut’s Sen. Richard Blumenthal last weekend did his best to boost the Communist Party.

Blumenthal said he was “excited and honored” to speak at the awards ceremony for the Connecticut People’s World Committee, an open Communist Party affiliate. Indeed, the event celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Communist Party USA as it explicitly aimed to recruit new CPUSA members.

Join the party, emcee Ben McManus urged, “in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits.”

Blumenthal plainly doesn’t see that as different from his own agenda: His speech centered on “holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people.”

For some reason you guys seem to think that officers and enlisted are in sme kind of war against each other when there's nothing further from the truth. There are always going to be bad people who shouldn't be there in any organiztiuon. But it's pretty standard for senior enlisted to "teach" and train the new officer that is assigned to their units. I had fantastic chiefs and petty officers in all of my units. It's even more true in the Army.

Go look at a Youtube video of the Forrestal fire off Vietnam. They hadn't fully developed the armament disabling systems on atrplanes back then that prevents missiles or guns from being fired while on the ground. A missile went off hitting a line of fully armed A-4s waiting for launch. Needless to say they know the armaments are going to cook off at some point and the pilots were trying to get out. (They couldn't just eject because the A-4s back then did not have zero/zero ejection seats meaning an ejection from a standing aircraft would not be survivable.) You see a CPO go running across the carrier's deck to get his pilot out when the bombs begin to explode and he disappears forever into a ball of flame.

Don't think he cared whether that pilot was a good officer or not. The military is different. Don't try to put it in a civilian context. So don't try to excuse an assault. Just tell the story that your employee turned his life around.

Nobody thinks Os and Es are at war with each other that’s ****ing stupid. There are and always have been some really crappy officers that should have never been commissioned and hide behind their brass. No different than the NCO corp, plenty of NCOs deserve to have their asses kicked. The problems arise when their peers close ranks around the dirtbags and protect them.

A Missouri school area district has been ordered to pay a transgender student $4million in a sex discrimination pay out after refusing to let him use the boys' restrooms.

A jury in Jackson County ruled on Monday that the Blue Springs School District had discriminated against the student, known as RMA, who reportedly transitioned from female to male at age nine.

Despite changing his name in 2010 and his birth certificate in 2014, the boy was still not allowed to use the boys' restroom and locker rooms at several schools, including Delta Woods Middle School and Blue Springs High School Freshman Campus, Fox News reported.

The jury has awarded the former student $175,000 in compensatory damages as well as $4 Million in punitive damages. The plaintiff has also requested the school district cover the attorney fees.

Socialist Seattle City Councilwoman Kshama Sawant survived a recall attempt—barely.

And her victory may stall any momentum after the off-year election which finally brought the defeat of fringe socialist candidates. By a margin of fewer than 350 votes, Sawant survived the first-ever recall attempt of a Seattle city council member.

The recall campaign was bruising. Both the recall supporters and Sawant defenders spent roughly one million dollars each. The Kshama Solidarity Campaign set up pop-up tents around the district to convince voters to print, sign, and submit their ballots against the recall. This tactic, along with ballot harvesting, is legal in Washington state. Some Kshama supporters were accused of bullying and intimidation against those who openly supported the recall.

Sawant faced many charges, which included using city resources to support a "Tax Amazon" ballot initiative, and leading a Black Lives Matter and Antifa march to Mayor Jenny Durkan’s home. The mayor’s address is supposed to remain private due to threats she received as a former U.S. Attorney.

The point is that the war on drugs disproportionately hurts blacks. You're trying to explain, in part, why it hurts blacks more. But the point is that the war on drugs is unjust and it hurts blacks more. That's it. That's the whole point. The war on drugs is a big reason the neighborhoods are so filled with violence. You're using the bad results of the problem to justify perpetuating the problem. It's pure insanity.

Members of the Satanic Temple of Illinois installed a holiday-themed display inside the state Capitol in Springfield on Monday.
