Actually the OP clearly said, he liked the 1-3-1 and wanted it to show up a couple years ago. So yes, he specified what type of zone.

And no, not full of myself, just like seeing this many people get proven wrong, it's entertaining to me.

I will say that I have been looking for a zone. I also said in year one that our zone offense was terrible. The College of Charleston game sticks in my memory, but our team had no clue how to beat a zone.

That said, coaches can be stubborn. Calipari and Pearl are/were very successful and will hardly ever play a zone, if any. I just believe there is a right time for a zone depending on our personnel and the opponent.

Just look at the box score. 22 by Stokes, who is declaring for the NBA. 26 by McRae, who will graduate.

This is/was the season for us to make a big run in the NCAA. Maybe we will peak at the right moment, and can still get it done.

How many times in the 45 years I have followed the Vols have I said that only to be amazed the next year to see a scorer emerge....Just sit back and see who develops....or maybe not!!!!

Simple, if he makes the tournament he stays. If he doesn't make the NCAA tourney he is gone.

Just making the tourney with our talent should have been a given. This should be a year for a run.

Yep. I don't think simply making the tournament would be considered a success with this talent, but it's enough to buy him one more year.

With you on that one, Sparty. Been there for awhile.

Like I said before it's Buzzball without the hair. In response from a BF "expert" I got the stat of 60% winning % versus 51% winning % thrown at me. And that was supposed to answer why Zo was better. Which left out that the overall conference was far better when Buzz was here as well as Bruce leaving the program in much better shape when Zo walked in the door. If this guy gets another year he will be at 51% with the crappy roster he has returning. Then the next guy gets screwed even worse.

Pull the plug.

fire him now. it wont get any better next year.

Maymon , Stokes(probably) and McRae will be gone.
