Do you guys remembered when Cutcliffe ALMOST got announced as HC here last time...like it was quote unquote "official" everyone jumped the gun.

I love Cut--he's a good man a good football coach...but he has a sweet deal at Duke..best to leave him in the past. We're going forward.

Sorry man you are wrong. It was very close to a done deal. Where it went wrong was that Hamilton said that Kippy Brown had to be on staff as WR coach, Cut said he was bringing Scotty Montgomery, former Duke player and WR coach at Duke. Well, Kippy goes to the Seahawks and Montgomery goes to the Steelers, so it ended up moot. I am friends with several guys on Duke's staff and they were basically told to pack their bags until this snag. Most likely Cut would be our coach today if there wasn't this disagreement.

Former Tennessee offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe, now coach at Duke, told the Charlotte Observer emphatically on Sunday, "I will be coaching at Duke next year."

Yep. After Cutt's comments yesterday about being at Duke next year, he is either lying or the OP has been lied to.
