On another note, WF is a fraud. I don’t want to hear about how they’ve won 54 games or whatever, the ACC was utter trash this year. They avg. 9 RPG and have scored a total of 8 in Omaha in the 3 toughest games they’ve played all year.

“Fraud” must mean something different in Tennessee. After the LSU/ Tenn regular season series, someone here said LSU was a fraud (maybe this same person?). Now WF is a fraud bc they lost a game to the only other team who has been ranked #1 in the country this season. They’re now 1-1 against each other at what’s basically the semifinals of the CWS, but both teams are “frauds” for some reason. Yeah, I’m thinking they’re not.

Re-read or show yourself out. I said they’ve been shut down in 3 games, not just by your bought, signed sealed and delivered Tigers. Stanford’s staff is far from elite and completely shut them down for 8 innings. And surely you’re not so dense to think y’all were #1 for 2/3 of the year because of your pitching? You have an elite offense and 1 dominant pitcher, the rest of the staff is Jekyl and Hyde; do you need to be reminded of the wrecking State did to you in games 2 & 3. Wake has been shut down by that part of the LSU staff. Take your win and be happy, nobody is diminishing the feat. I’ve simply seen enough of WF in Omaha to believe they likely finish somewhere between 4th-6th in the SEC this year.

Did last year’s TN team not do what they did against an SEC schedule? One that included multiple regional hosts, Omaha teams etc.? Wake’s success came against a mediocre P5 schedule this year and I’m simply stating they don’t accomplish what they did all things being equal to an LSU, UF etc. We all state this same POV across our league come every December in regards to football. Would Wake be a host if they played in the SEC? Absolutely. Do they put up the same kind of numbers on both sides of the ball in the SEC? I highly doubt it.

I mean no disrespect here, but if you've watched this CWS, you would know half or more of these games could have gone the other way.

In addition, things change over the course of the year.

Florida's pitching went from so-so earlier in the year to flat out dominant at this point in time.

Wake Forest is currently 54-11 on the year which means they are damn good. The ACC is a damn fine baseball league as well. I think the SEC is better too, but the ACC isn't a cake walk.

Bottom line, there are 3 teams in America still able to win a national title. Wake Forest is one of them.

Calling a team a "fraud" when they are winning is puzzling. And if LSU beats them......I mean damn. That's the standard for being a fraud. Losing two games to LSU?

I don’t think I’m dense at all! Sorry you’re so upset about a baseball game. But again, WF and LSU are far from being frauds.

And I can’t count how many times someone in here has talked about LSU being “bought and paid for.” You know your Vols tried to “buy” Skenes as well right? Whether we like it or not (which I don’t btw), this is the NIL era. This is what happens now. You either get with it or get left behind.

Also, I love how everyone keeps talking about how crappy LSU’s bullpen is. They’re one win away from making the CWS final, so I hope they stay crappy! lol Here’s the facts… None of their pitchers are as good as Skenes. Then again, no one else in the country is either. But, everyone wants to think the rest of our pitchers suck simply bc they’re not as good as Skenes. It’s a bad take, bc those boys can pitch.

Vols inability to execute the routine play consistently killed them vs LSU both in BR & in Omaha. Inability of pitcher to cover first base, turn routine DP ball, catch pop ups, pick off a runner, etc.

They were also bad at the thing where they try to hit that little ball with a stick. They needed to do more of that too.

Wake isn't a fraud LSU isn't a fraud,Tennessee last year wasn't a fraud. I know I give jabs at other teams but it is what it is.Will I ever root for any SEC school but Tennessee hell no but respect hell yes.But no offense I would rather see a Wake Forest vs Florida in finals.

If I'm coaching LSU I don't use Skenes today unless I need him.
Seems whoever they trot out of the pen has been good enough.

Yeah, I don’t don’t how anyone can say either one is a fraud. Just weird to me! I’ll root for other SEC schools in certain situations. Had your Vols beat LSU the other night, I’d be rooting for them against WF. To each their own though!

I guess I'm such a homer if Tennessee can't win it ,,rather not have any of our rivals win it either. Also a team such as Wake Forest who has any success people say this fraud word as their good but just don't want to admit it😁

Look, I hope LSU smashes everyone they play in any sport, anytime! But, there are times that I root for other SEC teams. One would be if the other team winning helps LSU. And then I’ll usually root for other SEC teams in bowl games or other post season tourneys. If the conference does well, then it’s better for all its members. I guess the downside would be that you don’t want other SEC members to have an advantage in recruiting bc of their success. It’s an old argument that plays out numerous times in all the major sports every year. More so in football than any other sport it seems.
