I don't think that will happen. Now will we see Skenes in game three in the 9th to close it out. Possibly.
I'm sure Skenes would like to add the Championship game to his resume.

He is having a bad day today. His play has been similar to what I would expect from little league play. I really don’t care who wins the title. I dislike both almost as much as I dislike Georgia.

LSU waving the white flag putting Collins in. Feel bad for Thompson. The kid has been brilliant in the field all year long, and at least decent at the plate. But, he’s pretty much been an automatic out at the plate in Omaha, and now the two costly errors to go along with it. I guarantee no one feels worse about any of it than him, but he’s going to catch hell from LSU fans. Hate that part of the game.

He’s just not having a good Omaha trip. Sucks for him. I feel bad for the guy. But as costly as his two errors were, I’d place more blame on the offense if we end up losing today (which seems likely at this point). We’ve had the bases loaded 3 times I believe, and I don’t think we scored at all. Or did we get 1? I don’t know. Leaving RISP will be the story of this series if LSU loses.
