D.J. Swearinger

i see where Dan Brooks gave him his blessing to look around....all the coaches should be giving the recruit calls to Hamilton

"I wouldn't consider myself a Tennessee commitment," Swearinger said. "I'm going to do something this week about that."

"My heart just isn't with Tennessee like it was," Swearinger said. "My heart is more with (South) Carolina."

says he is not going to commit yet..wants to wait and see who we hire.

why do yall doubt me?

because we don't care anything about the cocks..if we did we would spend as much time on their boards, as you do here.

If he's unsure about us because he doesn't know who the coach is going to be, why go to SC where the coach probably won't be around in 3-4 years?

Why the hell would another win matter. Season's already lost.

i don't know, i thought it was weird too....give us a stud coach, a Butch Davis, and watch all the recruits flock to us!!!

we need a coaching change as soon as the regular season ends, or our recruiting will be blowing

we only want kids who have their hearts set on rebuilding tennessees program.

I second that. I don't hate commits for reniging, but I sure don't want any of these kids that aren't prepared to be faithful to our school. If you aren't loyal, then why commit in the first place? He knew darn well about Fulmer's situation. What happened to being excited to wear that orange and white. What happened to being proud to represent your school. Thats why these 17-18 year old kids should commit, not based on what type of offense we run or whether or not we run a 4-3 as opposed to a 3-4. If this kid wants out thats fine, but just say i'm decommiting and move on, don't look for a front page story in your local paper.:banghead2:

Yeah. I think we should go ahead and tell Dan Brooks to hit the road before the season is over. It is obvious he could care less about the future of the Tennessee program.

Quote:
Swearinger’s only correspondence with the Vols came shortly after Fulmer’s ouster when assistant coach Dan Brooks told Swearinger to “do whatever I need to do”.

D.J. Swearinger is reported to be "opening" things up, he wanted to see 2 things to reconsider the Vols:
1. winning another game
2. wants to know who the next coach is gonna be

DJ also said he may call Mike Hamilton to find out who the next coach will be, and said he would love to play for Butch Davis.

Let's hope this is all for now. :ermm:

And bring on basketball season!!

Why should a program as big as ours make coaching decisions based on one, just above average, recruit? I agree that we could use BD, but not because this kid said so. If he's looking for attention then he should go on dancing with the stars, otherwise just keep to yourself and make your decision without letting everyone know your day-to-day thoughts on the University of Tennessee's happenings.:tease2:

uh yeah i'm sure Hamilton is just going to come out and tell DJ who the next coach is going to be before it's announced to everyone

Bye bye D.J. Don't need u if you are not totally committed. Find the best fit for you...have fun in the WAC.

Just like a Cock fan to be proud of 2nd. I would continue to enjoy our down time while you can before we dominate you on the field and on the recruiting trail for another century or so.

Ironically enough, the Sports Animal just reported the D.J. would like to play for Butch Davis.
