D4H's 2017 College Football Season Preview

Just because I'm bored at work. Here are the predictions so far the D4H has gotten wrong: This is impressive for the first 5 weeks.

Tennessee going 12-1.
Tennessee's only loss to Alabama.
Tennessee beating Florida.
Tennessee having the #1 or #2 ranked defense.
Georgia getting beat by Notre Dame and Tennessee.
Auburn beating Clemson.
LSU beating Mississippi State and Troy.
Clemson beating Auburn.
USC beating Washington State.
Notre Dame beating Georgia.

Man I wish D4H would come back into this thread. I wish he would explain how FSU and South Carolina is supposed to beat Clemson.

Lotta season left to go.

Who woulda believed around this time last year that a Penn State team just annihilated by Michigan would beat Ohio State and win the Big 10.

I got a feeling Clemson will lose a couple of games later this year.

Now count what I've gotten right:

- Oklahoma over Ohio State (big upset that barely no one called)
- Baker Mayfield winning the Heisman (he's the current leader alongside Saquon Barkley)
- Michigan over Florida (lotta people thought Michigan would fall off because of all the starters they had to replace)
- Notre Dame being good (considering their only loss is by 1-point to a good Georgia team, my prediction that they'll go 11-1 looks extremely good)
- Auburn being the biggest challenger to Alabama

Never said I would get everything right. But I do feel good about my predictions for Oklahoma and Baker Mayfield. Also I was one of the few that saw the Notre Dame revival. We'll see if Clemson falls off as I predicted.

You're claiming the be right about Mayfield winning an award that hasn't been handed out yet. Think about that.

You're batting under .500. That's how people go broke gambling

You're adorable. Only you would try to pull off citing what are still nothing more than predictions as "being right".

Mayfield was on every preseason list I saw and still nothing more than a prediction at this point.

Michigan was a 5pt favorite.

Citing ND as being good needs to wait until they're ranked accordingly and finish the season there.

Auburn was picked #2 in the West at SEC media days.

Lol tons of people predicted Mayfield to be a favorite to win it. The knowledge you pretend to have is garbage.

South Carolina tho really??? They will get blown out by Clemson

Barkley is leading the Heisman race right now. Bryce Love should eclipse Mayfield pretty soon.

No he wasn't. The favorite was Sam Darnold. Baker Mayfield only became the favorite after the shocking win over Ohio State (which I called).

Rivalry games can be funny. Two years ago Clemson was undefeated and South Carolina was coming off a loss to The Citadel and the game still went down to the wire with South Carolina having a chance to win.

And the game is at South Carolina. It'll be close and go down to the wire.

Just like we'd blow out UGA?

Also acting like literally no one said OU would win at OSU is horsecrap.

No one did. Ohio State was the overwhelming favorite. They had almost everyone back from the same team that destroyed Oklahoma a year earlier at OU's stadium. This year Oklahoma had a new coach, was headed to the horseshoe, and had lots of new players and true freshmen playing.

Did you not watch how many true freshmen were making plays for Oklahoma? I know it's easy to act like it was obvious now but in the PRESEASON when I made that prediction, there were many people saying Ohio State was arguably the best team in the country. People were going crazy over their o-line. The Ohio State hype in the PRESEASON was insane. And I saw right thru it and said it would Oklahoma coming out on top.

Barkley has way more difficult games left. 1-2 losses and he'll fall behind Mayfield. And Bryce Love has no chance. He's getting stats. But he's on a bad team that no one will be watching in November (which is when the Heisman is won).

Mayfield was a top 3 Heisman pick before the season even started. You make it sound like he came out of nowhere and bolted to the top. He didnt. The dude was a Heisman finalist last year.

Claiming Mayfield winnig the heisman is not indicative of your prediction prowess.
