Marte will be there next year, you already have McClain. I'd see what I could get out of him on the pitching market. I think Cincy is improved, but I don't think you have much in the way of pitching, or at least not enough to be a playoff team.

They know that. He's all over their marketing materials. I don't see them trading India in the near future. When he gets close to free agency, anything's possible

No question. I do think it's too soon to jettison top 100 minor league talent for such a guy as this is not the year to go for it. But in the offseason, that's gotta be a priority.

It just feels like we get within a handful of games of getting over .500 and just blow it by losing a series.

Wild win to be sure and the game was completely changed due to the new rules. If not for replay Friedl is out at home. If not for the ghost runner rule, no one scores in the 10th

Thank our lucky stars for the KC Royals. We gave up 15 hits and threw the ball around for 4 errors, yet we won 7-4 and sweep the series. Another ugly win

Those type games used to be blow outs the other way. Granted, the competition sucked. Will take the W no matter how it happens.

Let's see what happens with the Astros. That series will be a good barometer of where they are.
