I watched until Farmer blew it in the 8th and my old Battered Reds Syndrome kicked in. I gave it up and went to bed to only to find this AM that they once again pulled it out.

Amazing. Can't imagine how great this season would go with a real rotation.

Do they sit tight or trade for an SP or two? If they sit tight they will be looking for low cost rentals and will trust the hitting to carry them. I sure don't want to see any young guns on the roster or top prospects go. The future looks too bright to do that unless they will not be able to crack the lineup or rotation.

Imo from what the Braves did, I think you try and find a few cost controlled arms. Whatever the plan was don't try and rush it along too fast. Even when out baby Braves broke through in 17 it was still another year or two before we made a move in FA. You need to get the young guys in and settled first.

Makes sense, worked for them.

The rotation may get some help soon, looks like Lively will be back. With the hitting they have, we just need starters who can hold the score down for 5-6 innings.

So who gets sent down when we eventually call up CES? Most obvious choice is one of Newman/Senzel. Thinking Newman because at least Senzel offers the ability to play OF and both have minor league options still available.

Probably, unless there is a trade that moves one of them.

Steer is the MVP of this team even with the flash of McLain and Cruz. Dude just plays great baseball. Learned to play 1st base during the season and now learning how to play the outfield all to better the team. Combine that with a great hitting approach man has he been a steal.

Another six scoreless innings by Abbott to go with 8 Ks and 3 hits/1 BB. Sitting at 81 pitches I would let him go back out in the 7th if I were Bell.

Well Chapman got traded to the Rangers he was one of the relief pitchers I was hoping we'd try for.
My Reds' fan, buddy, wanted Chatman and Grienke. I kinda liked it, but not happening, now. Chatman and Diaz in the last 2+ innings would have been a beautiful thing
