Da' Rick Rogers to Colts

Not really defending it, but the notion that smoking weed makes one a thug is ridiculous. I dont know him personally, but he has done far less to be labeled a "thug" or not a VFL than many former players we celebrate.
If he went to USC for a year would you be calling him a vfl? Either way I guess I would rather that title be given to someone who finished there college career playing for tn.
Good luck to him he was a good receiver.

I wish him well. He had a tumultous time at UT, but he brought it on gameday. It would have been a different story under CBJ-- better for us, better for Da'Rick.

No.....wtf does that have to do with anything? He played for a couple of years here and sweated and shed blood just like our other players. He is a VFL in my book who unfortunately didnt get the message to grow up yet.

Yes, thug! Wasn't Da Rick arrested one weekend in Knoxville with some other players for a fight? I think there were four or five players arrested for a fight and Da Rick was one of them.

The photo on the Knoxville News Sentinel had Da Rick leaving the jail house after he was released.

So a college kid gets in a bar fight and now he's a thug? Damn, I'm sure your saint like qualities as a college kid were legendary. I'll never understand the "haters" who want these kids to fail cause they made bad decisions when they were 18-19 years old. hopefully this kid can turn his life around and have a productive career.

I wonder how much they pay players on the "practice squad"? And don't other teams get to pick players off other teams practice squads? If he does good on the squad he could end up playing for maybe the Titans. Anyway, I hope he takes this chance with the Colts practice squad & makes the most of the opportunity that's ahead for him to prove he belongs on an NFL team playing on Sundays.

A few seasons ago, I read an article that said that a player on the Tampa Bay practice squad earned $60,000 a season.

Not sure how accurate that figure is now though.

I smoked weed a few weeks ago on my birthday before heading back to school. Guess it means I'm a thug. Doesn't matter I've never been arrested, or that I'm a year from a bachelors in biochemistry, and looking at several grad schools, while playing sports. Weed is of the devil, and anyone whose ever smoked it should be severely punished and have no chance to live to their full potential. I think this also means my parents and all of my aunts and uncles and 90% of my friends should be in jail or in the same boat.

Think before you hate. In 10 years it'll be legal nationwide most likely anyway at the pace its going.

Thug? He failed a drug test for marijuana. I think Labor Day weekend has fried alot of people's brains.

A drug test? You have to fail multiple to be kicked off the team. After you fail the first one you know the second one is coming and then how ever many after that. Don't be so naive.

Would getting caught in posession hamper your career in any way. If so why would you jeopardize all of your hard work.

He's trying to better his life and you call him a "thug"?

Way to go idiot.

May have not been a thug but stupid on getting kick out of school , yes. He may share the majority of blame but foolish Dooley has to take some.

Out of CP, DR, and JH

Darick is the most complete WR right now

CP needs to learn routes and catch a little better, amazing with the ball though

JH is just flat out scared of contact

DR is like a faster Anquan Boldin....4.52 isnt slow, will go after the ball over the middle, 1000 yds being double teamed, he is a physical freak

Correct in all points.

And I second the earlier post on Duh' Rick being a VFL. Sorry but when you get tossed off the team for repeated rules violations, you forfeit any tie to the University. Calling yourself a VFL at that point is purely stupid.

You don't watch football much, huh? Most complete wr? Maybe you should be a nfl scout because he didn't even get drafted. DR is a hasbeen, a complete waste of talent. He won't learn from his mistakes until people quit helping him:mf_surrender:

Yup, I watch a lot of football. On top of that I actually know how it works. CP has the potential.to.be great if he can learn the simple things but he isnt there yet

Hunter is/was a deep.threat and even that didnt show up last year. He cant go over the middle and catch in traffic.

DaRick is where he is vecause of off the field issues. He is a first round talent that can beat the press, get deep, go over the middle and is pretty reliable

DaRick can be a VFL. He played hard when he was here and gave his all on the field. His off the field choices were dumb, and there is/was any excuse for them. Sometimes, you have to be taken down a notch before humility and appreciation smack you in the face. Time will tell if he realizes his potential.

Evidently the Colts want Da Rick Rogers now.

This thug gets way to many second chances.

Y! SPORTS

Could you imagine if all of the players who left the program had remained? There were plenty of games in which we could have used the plays of any number of these guys.

Ontario Smith, (Oregon) Bryce Brown, Kansas State) Nu Keese Richardson,(Hampton) Mike Edwards, (Hawaii) B J. Coleman, (U.T. Chattanooga)
