he isn't wrong. in fact his speech got me thinking about our fickle fanbase. his spill about "appreciative" fans vs "critical" fans. after the darkness of clausen's offense under phil, to kiffin leaving in the middle of the night, dooley, jones, and the payments made in mcdonalds bags, i am very appreciative of the current regime. go vols

Besides attacking a veteran on live radio, the sin of pride, nearly proclaming himself to be a God, he took a jab at the Vols, which makes him very wrong.

After his stab at TN, I hope no real fans of the Vols will be on here defending him.

What did he say about Tennessee?
He just pointed out how long it had been between our 10 win seasons. Just stating that fact and pointing out their sustained level of success over a long period of time. I think the OP is overreacting a bit. He wasn't dumping on UT. Just pointing out how good Clemson has been over so many seasons.

Just like his burger flipping comment, that was another jab at the Vols. He's mad, because TN now has a competent coach. The guy is on the ropes and swinging at air in hopes a punch will land its target.

Don’t hold your breath. There is a contingent of Dabo worshippers that are very vocal on here and will defend everything the guy says or does.

To me, the guy is on the same level as those televangelists proclaiming themselves to be so godly and when they get caught doing something wrong or people ask questions, they turn on the water works and/proclaim themselves to be the “true” one and everyone else is to blame.

The part where he claims “He NEVER failed at anything in life” was pretty funny.

I live in SC and the Clemson fan base, like most, has unrealistic expectations. They have been the Alabama of the ACC except there is no LSU or Georgia in the ACC, so they expect to win the ACC and be in the final 4 EVERY YEAR! Those expectations have been met for a decade as they were in the Playoff the first 6 years it existed and have won the NC twice. They won the ACC last year but for the second year in a row didn't make the Playoff. So even though they won 11 games it was a down year, as they had double digit wins for the twelve years prior. That loss to us in the Orange Bowl especially by the margin we beat them, sent many of their fans off the rails. They felt entitled to beat us because they had punked us on the recruiting trail so often, well why wouldn't they? The more reasonable of their fans however are afraid that this years poor showing is the result of Dabo's resistance to NIL money, and his refusal to use the portal. And they may be right.

Dabo needs to keep our name out his mouth. Apparently the first whoopin didn't get the point across.

Fakes like dabo are what turns a lot of people away from true Christianity. He also looks down others who he considers beneath him (Vets, and the Vols).

Really misleading thread title, @EverythingOrange . He didn't dump on the Vols at all. Here is every single word he said about us in that 5-minute rant:

We've had 12, TWELVE, 10-plus win seasons in a row. Twelve. We lost to Tennessee last year, they won 11 games for the first time in like 20 years.

That was it.

His point was, fans should appreciate the sustained success Clemson has had, that it could be far worse, and the Vols' Dark Ages are an example.

That's not an insult. Every word he said about the Vols was true. It had been about 20 years since our previous 11-win season (2001). And we did beat Clemson in the Orange Bowl (heh).

No need to make stuff up in order to manufacture drama. There's enough in the world already.

Big nothing burger here.

Go Vols!

Dabo’s wearing out his welcome.
People, however, remember the beatdown that Tennessee gave them and look at the trajectory of both programs now.
I think we’ll be just fine.
