As if it won't go to a higher court?

Trump is obviously using these things to try and get democrats to negotiate, which they have been unwilling. He has made clear that on any issue he will negotiate, yet Dims have dug their heals and and will not move.
He is pushing for complete immigration reform.
What do you think democrats ought to be willing to conceded? Border wall?

This is my question , did Trump stop Obama’s DACA EO? I’ve seen a lot of articles saying he was going to , that DHS was winding it down and that it would end so congress should do its job . If he did write another EO to stop it then the judge can’t make anyone start it back up because it was only an EO but if he didn’t actually write another EO to stop it then the judge would be correct in making DHS start it back up because Obama’s would still be active .

yeah I was wondering how the judge was ruling on this. Before that letter I had never seen anything that trump had EO'd the EO, to remove it from play. Now I don't know how this (blocking the removal) can stand.

JUDGE SAYS GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT NEW DACA REQUESTS

U.S. District Judge John Bates said the government does not have to accept new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) requests, on Friday, going back on his initial order from Aug. 3.

Illegal immigrants who were brought over as children, known as “Dreamers,” can renew their DACA applications, but no new requests will be processed, The Associated Pressreported.

Bates initially ordered U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to restart DACA by Aug. 23. USCIS warned restarting the program would force the agency to look at the uptick of roughly 50,000 new DACA applications instead of focusing on legal immigrant and guest worker applications, The Washington Times reported on Aug. 15.

The judge also delayed on providing special protections to DACA recipients. One of those protections is advance parole, where recipients can travel outside the U.S. and reenter the country, which can sometimes lead to citizenship.

Government officials said more than 100,000 new DACA applications and 30,000 advance parole requests would occur if DACA were completely rebooted and cause strain on USCIS, The Washington Times reported Saturday. Bates also feared confusion by restarting DACA even though he said illegal immigrant children were having their rights withheld, according to an opinion.

So wait. This judge changed his mind after reviewing the impact of what his ruling was going to have on the case load?! So the interpretation of the law depends on how hard it is going to be to implement his ruling.

And his ruling is a permutation if the DACA EO of his own making? He’s basically writing his own EOs now?

Wow and the lefties b!tch about Ellis. This dude is totally out of control.

There is overwhelming support for dreamers in America. Hopefully they can get a deal done, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Both sides are pretty content to continue using immigration to hold their constituents hostage.

Did you really just cite an NPR poll as any form of substantial evidence whatsoever? Polls are only as useful as the questions being asked, most Americans probably don't even know that it is illegal.
