That's pathetic. Was there any reason attendance is that bad? Rain? Other events happening?

There was a rain delay (not sure how long) but primarily the Pirates were up 9-0 early in what wound up an 11-2 game. That pic was in the bottom of the 9th too.

Pretty sad nonetheless.

Talk about a big mismatch, Jeanmar Gomez vs. Matt Harvey. Sounding like Gomez will be getting some more starts with the Pirates though past this game, as Neal Huntington (pirates GM) when asked about the rotation moving forward on his radio show this morning said that Gomez is likely to be in the rotation until the first of June as they monitor Gerrit Cole closely for a possible June 1st call up.

Grilli strikes out 2 to get his 15th save of the season, and the pirates take 3 out of 4 against the NL East for the 3rd time this year. Only series loss against the NL east came at the hands of the Nationals

That's a nice deal. 41 million just for taking 2/3 in Washington. Sheez.

Saw this on twitter.

"While the Cubs spend $101 million on Rizzo/Castro next 7 yrs, Angels will spend $269 million on Pujols/Hamilton during that span."

Some fun prospects. Not bad.
