Morely played just as advertised when he got pt as a frosh...if you can remember way back 10 years ago. The year or so off really killed his game...I expect his head to be on straight from here on out. Well, let me change "expect" to "hope". And also...earlier I predicted Myles to pick Bama, but I hadn't seen his father's quote....so I'm going to have to say that sounds extremely positive for UT.

No, he didn't, in the little pt he got as a frosh he didn't look like the 5*, number 2 safety recruit in the country coming out of HS, in fact far from it.

You don't know what you're talking about...when he got pt he showed out. If he didn't show out then how the he11 did he get in a game as a freshman with Fulmer as the coach?

actually he does know what he's talking about. Morely got burned quite a few times. He didn't look like a 5 star player. He looked like a decent player. Not the star he was made out to be.

OK...because a Freshman in the SEC never gets burned. I'm not saying that he was the best Freshman to ever play football. I'm saying that he hasn't always underperformed. If you think that because a kid is highly rated he's just gonna come in and dominate you're sorely mistaken and have unrealistic expectations. I remember keeping an eye on him due to his high profile coming in and can remember especially in the last of the season that he made some very good plays and as I mentioned had a pic.

The only reason Morley started and continued to start as a freshman was because we didn't have any other option. He has improved vastly and makes fewer mistakes, I just don't think he's smart enough to figure out where he's supposed to be all the time.

Morely is a solid player and has been a solid starter. He's just not the star he should have been based on his hype. At least he didn't tank like Crompton.

Berry = played beyond anybody's wildest dreams

Morely = played like a good freshman

But this is where this ends, because we obviously have a fundamental difference in opinion. I agree he didn't pan out so far, but to say he underperformed as a freshman without sufficient playing time is for lack of a better phrase, not giving him a fair shake.

Berry didn't play above anybodys wildest expectations, he did exactly what every recruiting service said he'd do, start and be a difference maker from the get go.

If Morely had been as advertised you wouldn't be talking about sufficient playing time because he would have had it just like Berry, but in fact I'm not just talking about as a frosh, I'm talking about the present, he just simply hasn't played that well ever, plain and simple.

I have nothing against him, in fact I'm rooting like hell for him just as I do with all our players and I'd like nothing more than to see him step up and make me look foolish in this debate with his play but the simple fact is he's never played like anybody thought or hoped he would. Hope that changes this season.

I watched Myles in the Army AA game. Morley will still start as long as he is still on the team. Myles has great potential but if the best player plays it wont be him right now.
