How does it end up playing out? Right now we are in a huge logjam.

Commited:
4* Pat Martin
3* Brian Randolph
3* Justin Coleman

Depending On ACT:
4* Eddrick Loften
3* Marcques Dixon

Recruiting:
4* Christion Jones: In Final 2 along with Alabama, yet to visit campus.
4* Blake Countess: At one point lead, in his top 3
4* Avery Walls: At one point lead & thought a commitment was coming soon.
3* Derek King: Lead at this point, & will announce after visits.
3* Tino Thomas: Lead at this point, assumed to be commiting next time on campus
3* Kadetrix Marcus: In final 2 along with South Carolina, has visited twice. Came to the Florida game with mother.

I'm glad I'm not on the staff & have to figure this out, but how do you guys see this playing out? IMO we take 2 more at the most. King is the highest on the staffs board.

take King and be done with it.

we will be able to tell pretty quickly if Loften and Dixon are gonna be able to make it in imo so we should still be able to replace them with a fallback guy if they can't cuz we are in on alot more DBs than that. guys like Therezie, Alex Dixon, and Grooms.

Go with chris jones imo, need to win the small battles off the field to win them on them as well.

Getting guys like Jones would help, like getting Da'Rick over the entire nation last year, and getting A.J. over usc,florida,lsu... getting these guys raises other recruits eyes. Not to mention, every UT class has one, a "Corey Miller", ours this year is Pat Martin, probably our most aggressive recruiter

Can't wait till Feb. We will be fine as long as Wilcox can get who he wants. Give this staff some time and we will be back on top.

With Loften not qualifying, we really need a SS for the future.

he is planning on being here in January. so is Dixon. that is really whats making the DB situation so hard to figure out.

I don't see Dixon making a huge impact here. I see him as a nickel corner at best. Important, but nothing earth-shattering.

Well, do we take the risk? There are good safety prospects out there. Loften is a really good talent, no doubt. I guess we could take the chance.

make no mistake, they want them both if they can qualify. they think they are both players. the last staff fell in love with Dixon as a CB/return guy and it looks like this staff feels the same way.

I forgot about Dixon's return ability. He adds some more value there. I know that everybody raved about Loften, and that a lot of schools wanted him. But my issue is that it's a risk hoping a kid gets in when grades have never been his strong-suit, especially at a position of need like SS.

We could really use a return guy, it's been a sore spot for years....I juts can't believe we can;t find someone that can be a game changer in the return game

Dixon is a big time talent at CB too. He's a good sized corner with speed and playmaking ability.

I think we will get 2-3 guys who could make an impact there in this class. Dallas, King, Dixon, and Seymour/Buie could all turn into that guy.

As much as I like Jones, IMO the one to get is Walls, your typical DB who can really hit.

Jones is a much better corner. Walls is a safety type. He's a baller though. Jones can hit too though he's just more of a ball hawk. Walls is a bit of a tweener too.
