DC Black Hawk vs Plane crash, Philly Crash. Malicious, or incompotence?

I mostly agree with this. In most settings, like corporate environments, I believe this to be the case. When I hired I had similar experiences to yours.

When it comes to government and EDU I think it's where DEI goes off the rails. The optics and end result desired overtake the process of evaluating talent and aptitude often......or at least appear to.
Yep, from what I've heard I'd tend to agree with you. I am only familiar with corporate environments, so can only speak to those.

Trump held a press conference a vut ago. Had a chance to derail this. Did he?

Nope. Ge doubled down and repeated the DEI theory. Said his proof is common sense.

Cant make this up.
So, whether or not any members of the flight crews, or air traffic control had actually been hired through a DEI initiative is irrelevant?

So, without context this is meaningless. You guys do realize the highlighted disability types are very likely only capable of a certain few types of roles, right? We're not talking ATC jobs here I'm very certain.

Do you think Publix is wrong for hiring folks with severe intellectual disabilities? We'd need details as to what is included in these disability groups, and the types of roles they would potentially take.

Charlie Kirk starts by basically admitting that we don't yet know whether or not anyone involved in this tragedy was hired through a DEI initiative, but then spends the rest of the message railing against DEI initiatives, rather than ever saying a word about the loss of life in this tragedy.

It is starting to look like Donald Trump is concerned that he might be blamed for a personnel shortage in air traffic control, resulting from his hiring freeze, and his focus on DEI today has been a strategy of playing defense with a good offense.

The amount of time that Trump has already devoted to playing the blame game today, while bodies are still being recovered from the Potomac River is a disgrace.

Absolutely nothing good comes from DEI hires.
I don’t think you understand what a DEI hire necessarily is. It could be bad if only trying to fill a role with an unqualified person meeting certain criteria. However, if a company's goal is to get a pool of qualified candidates from multiple groups for review, it isn't. The problem here is you guys have no experience with quality DEI programs or an understanding of what they're about.

What you fail to recognize is, any DEI hire is less qualified than a straight, white American male.

It‘s science.

Worked in HR for a long time. You know what we did? We opened up job opportunities to everyone regardless of race, sex, religion, etc.

Then we hired the most qualified candidate regardless of race, sex, religion, etc.

Then we gave all the money we saved from not having some ridiculous DEI program to the Black Lives Matter organization. Because they really understand money management and fiscal responsibility.

Disgrace will not be in short supply.

Then you did it the right way. DEI came about because not everyone did. It came from a good place, and can work really well. I've admitted it can also be terrible when managed improperly.

It is not all bad, though. Take Costco for example. They are one of the best run and admired companys in America, and 98% of their shareholders just voted to retain their DEI policies. If they were a problem this would have been a perfect time to nix them. But they did the opposite.

Speaking for myself .... I did watch it in it's entirety, and Trump did more than merely offer condolences. He jumped to a conclusion over the cause of the accident and assigned blame for it.
I did not watch it entirely and did not see him jump to a conclusion. Must have missed that part and have not seen it on the news. I did see the segment on the DEI stuff and thought that was inappropriate timing-wise, but on the other hand a lot of incompetence has been introduced into government. Still think it was not the thing or time to discuss until more is known for certain.

And it’s no coincidence the helicopter in question was a Black Hawk helicopter.
