'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

Yes your spot on
IF we really want another OL, we should touch base with the SCar committed OTs as Scar struggles this year. I know we made a run at Pringle before. Not sure about Thompson.

I still feel like our biggest need left is DL. Sucks that Okoye has fallen in love with Oklahoma. Hope he makes his visit and gives us a chance to sway him back.

Alabama leads. Visiting Colorado now. Didn’t even mention Tennessee from my skimming of the article. Might’ve missed it though
wow interesting that we seem to be done. still have massive needs. really could have been a great class, sraff missed on some big pieces. gotta figure out how to land em.

We aren’t done. And we have a great class. What are you talking about????

You mean beyond the guys we did get, like Ross, Matthews, Warren.....,

Not even Georgia is getting and keeping everyone they go after. You guys always act like this is a video game, and the coaches just need to press "X" more often to get a guy. Everyone misses on the big guys. Its the nature of the beast when you have 10 plus elite schools going after a single player, they can only choose to go to one place, so that leaves a lot of losers out there. But yall have confirmation bias because you only pay attention to UT's recruiting, you just see the guys these others schools get, but don't pay attention to ALL the ones they don't get.

it still is a great class. Class average is the highest its ever been, by a pretty good margin. We already have 1 more 4* than we got last year, and that's with 5 fewer recruits. One more 4* and we will probably have the same total score as we had last year, with 4 fewer recruits. and thats even without any bumps to our current guys that most of us are assuming will get bumps, like Gentle, and Farooq, and then you have 4*s like Boo and Spillman who are playing way above their rating.

Agreed. I am very happy with this class. Very happy. The last 11 commits we have gotten have been 4 and 5 star players. We have a 3.85 star average per player according to Rivals, which puts us 4th in the nation currently in terms of quality per player. That is elite recruiting. I am not worried at all because Tennessee has done very well in the portal too over the last couple of years. This upcoming year will be no exception.

Especially in light of the idea that SCar is also pursuing Seaton. Perhaps we can poach Pringle or Thompson by using that pursuit against Beamer and Co.

Excellent. Sometimes I am shocked at people who follow recruiting but don’t understand how it works. You lose more than you get. Even the ones that someone says you lead for them.
