'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

I assume the coaches know which ones they feel that have potential and who dont…. They kick guys to the curb every season.
Yes, but I doubt they go into the situation planning on kicking guys out to make room. I think its the other way around.

They know who the guys who aren't performing, move them along, and then they see how many more recruits/portal players they can take after. and i doubt they do it before the season or during it. they will wait until the end of the season. injuries can be unforgiving.

Say what you want about CGE but the man has cleaned up on the trail this year
He has done an above average job this year. Certainly his efforts, along with Spyre's should be lauded.

I think my biggest question would be, where the hell was this last year ? We missed on some key targets, yes, but that happens. Perhaps its BVS flaring up. But, seems like the talking heads are prepping us for a long year at OL.

I dont see how you can lose your starting C and best tackle in the SEC and swiss army knife Carvin, and feel good about where you are.

Newsflash. We are going to miss on key targets every year because there are plenty of big time schools recruiting them. We will win our share and we have done that to this point as well.

I mean, they’ve had two seasons and he really doesn’t have any National name recognition. I think DW going top 10 gave tons of credence to his reputation. He’s pulled a top 300 recruit at all 5 positions. I’m a curmudgeon, but I think he’s killing it. On the field, I’ve been super impressed with how he’s coached these guys up. I was a DB so maybe I am missing something lol

That happens during the off-season…. They meet with each player and tell them what they need to work on/do to improve… The coaches have watched these guys all spring and fall camp…. I’m sure they have a really good idea which guys they are ready to move on from….. it’s really hard to change that impression during the season.

Lets hope so. I have a feeling we will be fine by years end. But there may be some, or many growing pains.

I Would love that, but we don't even have enough sports for that to happen. Would need quite a few to decommitt but Zim doubting we get Fountain, Bates, Cole and Wingo. The others possibly!

Let’s say theoretically all of those guys wanted in and we could get them. Heupel would make sure they get in. The numbers always work out.

Last year’s recruiting was affected by a NCAA noose around our necks. Getting a ruling was the best thing for the program. Opposing coaches can no longer fabricate their own stories about post season bans and the death penalty.

Haha true. But I am very happy with how he’s pulled a kid at each position of need. Cooper is made of paper so I’m glad to see we’re getting guys who fill needs.
Personally, I think both of the Mays boys were overrated. I am sure people may not agree, but it is my opinion.

Cooper is 265-285. Hes not big but will play at next level.
I think his lack of size is what will keep him from playing at the next level IMHO. Has overcome his lack of size to become a good college player. Hopefully he can get healthy and finish his last 2 seasons strong. The Mays family are definitely all-VOLS!

After watching Vandy play. I can attest that having a Center in the game is beneficial.
