Impossible.Bama mods:
replying to a poster that was upset about OL depth if they lose Seaton:
joking with posters about it not being a big deal to lose him:
Bama posters:
That’s right I have said that. And if we land Seaton because our NIL won out? I will gladly admit I was wrong. Unlike you I don’t rely on “professionals” to tell me about our NIL. I can list multiple examples of where Spyre has failed. Hopefully this time they win.Impossible.
@BigOrangeTrain has repeatedly assured this forum that Tennessee can't possibly land a commitment from a recruit who has prioritized an NIL deal. Apparently, our collective, Spyre Sports Group, really sucks.
-API’ve talked to a few people this evening, and they’re still seems to be a lot of optimism around Tennessee and Jordan Seaton. At this point, I do not believe any school has been told they are the choice and I don’t believe that will happen before he makes things official tomorrow. Several schools still feel like they have a shot going into tomorrow. I’m told his trip out to California, caught multiple teams by surprise who went to Florida to see him and found him on the other side of the country. As for his announcement, he has yet to announce anything specifically and told me earlier this evening he would likely put out a tweet or Instagram post with the time sometime tomorrow, a couple of hours before the announcement.
He is no ordinary freshman, Warren is probably ahead of most as well. I imagine they will start out in 2 deep and slowly get more action as the season goes. Even if they are good enough to play early doesn’t necessarily mean Ellerbe can’t coach players up. We need talented depth versus average depth and that’s what last class and this class brings to the table upfront. We know Spraggins and Mays have been coached up along with Wright. Sometimes players can’t be coached up no matter who it is. If Seaton and Warren are as good as we think at the very least they will be in 2 deep rotation and maybe even work their way into starting rotation next season. Maybe maybe not, but I have no doubt Ellerbe can coach up players that can be coached up. GBOIt’s just rare for true FR to be serious starters on the OL in the SEC. And I mean with Nico being a first year starter? The only way I would want your scenario is IF we get Seaton and IF he is just that much better than anyone else. Same with Warren. I mean if those two are just head and shoulders above anyone else on the roster then sure put them out there.
But if your scenario comes true, I think we have a big problem with Elarbee. If two true FR OL come in and beat out guys he recruited and developed then his development skills should be questioned. AP is already questioning Elarbees development abilities.
Great work @BigSteve09. You made 90% of the meaningful content on this thread.I only notice updates on the other team sites after AP makes an update or Fong provides a tidbit
