On today's VQ pod, they discussed how recruiting rankings don't matter much anymore because of the transfer portal. Gave FSU as an example, FSU finished 20th in recruiting rankings last year, but did great in the portal.

I don’t think that’s BVS, that’s just logic. “Why did he bounce to LA so suddenly?” is a valid question

They will always matter bc there is no requirement to be on the internet and the smoothbrained will always want to hang banners if they finish "1st" in recruiting

Agree ..He knew all these coaches would come see him and then ran to the other side of country. On the west Coast it's obvious why he went out there .
Do any recruit ever just tell the other coaches sorry but I pick someone else ? Seems like a lot of wasted effort and money to not even get a complimentary call after being in contact for in alot of cases years with a recruit ..

Bro he was there training. He didn’t decide this week to go to la. He’s been there for weeks.

All people are not saying UT. They’re saying they hear things about UT but are very cautious bc it could go any which way.

We’ll get a portal TE regardless if we land this guy. Wells prob not if his asking price isn’t matching the injury history.

If you put Seaton at OG, why would it have to be on the right side? Seems easier to transition to LT eventually AND he’s tight with Campbell…playing next to him for one season could be beneficial.

I disagree. There have been multiple recruitments where that has been smoke from the national media saying they’re hearing other schools but we held on to a little hope anyways and that recruit picked said school. This time we are the school getting most of the smoke and buzz and I believe we’ll be a happy fanbase later today.
