Dear Mr. Hart,

you think? hell I dont know. You would think that a Dept Head would want to be reassuraing to the ones that make or break him. There is no good excuse for keeping folks hanging. How hard can it be to make a short statement?

If hart messes this up, the big boosters will be calling for his head in a much more effective way. Before we convict him, lets let him commit the crime.

Gruden would have been an unreal hire, but we were shooting for the stars. Unfortantely, Gruden didn't want the gig. It doesn't mean the end of UT Football relevance....I've given tons of examples in the SEC where a coach was probably not the ideal hire and it worked out great for that school.

Miles (ok state assistant)
Saban (barely over .500 with Mich State)
Urban Meyer (2 years at Utah barely won at Bowling G)
Will Muschamp (texas assistant)
Mike Richt (uga assistant)
Kevin Sumlin (1 very good year at Houston)

Every other school made a leap of faith with these guys and it worked out great for them so far, yet UT isn't allowed?

Dooley ring any bells? TN already took a leap of faith and crashed on the rocks below. We can't afford another.

The only interest that Gruden had was to pad his ego. I don't beilieve for one second Hart messed this hire up.
Gruden seems to get his rocks off by leading potential employers on to believe he is interested . When its time to put up or shut up he runs back to the Booth. I was a huge Gruden fan. I have since lost some respect for the man.

Hart IMO did not mess this hire up. It never got to that point. Hart is gonna make u proud with this hire.

Hart did not mess this hire up. Just be patient. Things have played out exactly as they had planned. Things were getting out of hand and would have got worse without saying something. A statement was made and people settled down. Trust in the process, the big BOOM is coming.

I hope so. But here is the thing. I want to believe you. I want to beleive all the ones who supposedly knew. But without concrete support, its hard to believe anything. People cant reveal sources I know, but maybe they could say something like "my source works for hart" or something along those lines. People say, well I would listen to so and so (posters) he knows...well how do you know he knows? how am i suppose to know he knows? Folks should use Hargis as an example...He has staked everything on his word that his source is spot on. I know this is true because i know who his source is. he is a booster and he has more money than i would ever know what to do with. I have worked on his homes in the Chattanooga area...I beleive because I know. I know its like being adoubting thomas, but, I guess that what I am at this point.

All we as fans can do is wait for the hire to be made. We have no say in who it is. The AD owes noone anything when it comes to telling us who the options are or when a coach will be hired. He is doing his job, be assured of that. Alot of people claimed that the boosters knew who they wanted and they were going to get him. The same people said Hart had no say in it at all. When "rumors" surfaced that Gruden may have backed out, it was all on Hart. It just does not add up. If J. Haslam, T. Thorton, and P. Manning have their sights set on something....I trust they will not let us Vols down. just have to be patient.

Didn't Hart hire Coach Martin? I really like what he is doing for the University. He has lunch with students at Presidential and holds practice for the Rowdies. He also teaches the guys how to dress and tie ties making sure they know how to dress.

We're competing in Basketball and he's a heck of a recruiter.

We might not get a big name and I will be monumentally disappointed but it might be a great hire eventually.

No he didn't. Hamiliton did under a MOU....15 months later deal contracted by Hart....
