I think he's an alright coach... He just brings absolutely no excitement...
When the refs are screwing us over he is just sitting on the bench
He has yet to earn a technical in his time with Tennessee... When we all know how intense Bruce was
I'm not sure if you guys remember but with Bruce the refs often favored us because they were scared of Bruce
Against utep there were several calls that I know Bruce would have lot the refs up on...
If cuonzo can bring some intensity and emotion I think he can be our guy

Please name at least two accomplishments or reasons as to why CCM should maintain the privilege of coaching this talented tennessee basketball team.

He gets three full years, regardless of what idiots like you think. There is no way putting a new coach in now would give us a shot at March. Starting a new system now would not benefit the players at all. The two disappointing years are, wait for it, in The past! This team, minus last night, has played very well this season.

I do agree that if Martin doesn't make the tournament this year then his job is in very serious danger and probably won't be retained. But please go on and tell all of us about how doinga coaching change this early in the season with a winning record is a "good idea"..

Once again, you could not name one reason that CCM should remain the HC nor did you think it was probable that he would be. So the premise of your argument is that firing him now is "stupid" While it is a convincing argument I still disagree.

I stated from the beginning that it was not an Idea situation to fire a coach in November or any time before march for that matter. In this instance I am for it. Simply because this is a more talented team than we have had and will have in the foreseeable future. I do not want to see it finish in the bottom 5 of the conference and play in the NIT. Would it be hard for a new system to be installed absolutely but if we know the current one is not working why not take the chance?

Because it is a terrible idea. You have to have stability and playing fire and hire is not the answer. Each year under Zo his players have improved on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. He's teaching these kids and they are learning. That's reason enough to see this season through.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I wonder what it would really take to get Bruce back. And if Hart would really consider it. I myself would absolutely love to see Bruce come back. I never seen more excitement around our BB program when Bruce was here. Thompson Bowling was always packed out.

Bruce was great for Vol basketball.
Bruce ain't coming back.
Mr Hart won't be here in five years.
GO VOLS!

More like a rubber mallet.

I'm pretty sure the rest of us do not need the remainder of the season to make up our minds on zo's coaching ability. With that being said I hope you figure it out.:good!:

Please tell me how firing Zo now is the "answer". And while your at it, let me know who his replacement is that's going to guide us to the tournament this season. I'd love to hear explanation on this...

We are paying martin a $1.3m base salary. There are many better coaches being paid the same if not less at smaller programs. With the right approach and the right price you would be surprised of the improvement that could be made on our sideline.

Dear Mr. volfanhill,

Taking an open letter to an AD at a major university literally is the reason they make pill bottles child proof.

Thanks

CCM is building a system and is doing a great job at developing players. We will make the Tourney this year guys and make a run don't worry. Do you even remember how the 2009 season started? CCM is going through the necessary steps to build a good program.
