I don't look forward to paying more taxes, but I am selfless enough to know I can afford them more than my secretary and the guy bagging my groceries.

I'll be making a good chunk of change when I graduate. It would be nice if I could apply it toward the massive amount of debt I accumulated getting the education I needed to earn said money. I guess I'm just selfish that way.

Wow, exceptionally bitter. Why do I suspect there is more underlying this than simple policy differences?

Obama is walking into a situation with more power than any president in recent history. He will have a strong majority in Congress and 2 or more SC appointments. Let's all hope he uses that power wisely.

no, I'm american and he is clearly not

Who McCain? I know there was that controversy over him being born in the Panama Canal Zone, but as much of a strident Democrat as I am, I refuse to question his citizenship.

I can't help but laugh at the folks who asserted that McCain would find a way to win this....some even "big"....this race was obviously in the can for McCain...and Obama was going to be our President. The republicans got their arse handed to them here...and the democrats will be smug about it...and it will make me sick. But, that is what we get for 8 years of the garbage we had.

I am still a bit surprised by the margin in this thing....he could actually come close to Clinton's numbers....the rest of America must have hated Bush's presidency as much as I did. Electing a dem to send a message to the rep's may not be the best way to do it....but message sent, I suppose.

Dang, I should have gone with Irish. I hang my head...
you were right and I mixed the two, but LC was the best I could come up with. Old Tom Morris wouldn't have sounded the same.

I understand. Any of that debt in the form of federally backed student loans? Did you go to a state university?

Just asking, because a lot of Republicans resent the "guverment" getting involved in stuff like that.
