I think it is BS that we go out and hire somebody based on a "plan of action" or whatever who's not lived here, not coached here, not played here and didn't go to school here. OK, so he shows up and based on some study or some sort of strategic plan that he dreamed up that made sense to drop a very equitable brand in the LV logo. I understand that streamlining the power T and making it the official logo across the board works at other schools and maybe makes business sense, although I haven't seen proof of that and really don't have the time to look into it. But, this is not about a money thing. Or a profitability thing. Look the LVols and really almost everything else in the athletic department are supported by Football. That's just the way it is. But the LV logo, the LV department and really everything about the LV is a culture. It's something that we've all grown accustomed to and we like it the way it is. It is their thing. It's also a very successful program. So, why change it? Regardless of whether or not he asked CPS to step down, what I am seeing here is a Chainsaw Al kind of guy when really, all we needed was somebody higher up (CHEEK) to allow the program to operate like it has been and let them do their job. I think Hamilton was a nice guy but a terrible, terrible boss. I think CHEEK was desperate and picked somebody with a futuristic plan. Problem is, this plan was more for some school like Kansas or Miss State or something. Not TN. And, believe me, when the dust settles and Dave Hart is either escorted out of here or chooses to bolt to "the only job I'd leave tennessee for," we'll be standing around with our cookie cutter LV program just like the mens. It's a shame if you love tn.
