Demarco Cobbs DECOMMITS

What I want to know is WTF did Texas come from? They weren't even in his final list of schools! Has he even been there?

Probably never had an offer from them. They knew that if he played extremely well his senior year that they could pick him up then.

Good riddance. Slow, can't jump, just about every big time school backed off of him. On top of it, he was Vol from the start to finish and then backed out anyways. Good riddance to the unathletic headcase. Look at Texas's wide receivers. They are all slow. It's pretty bad when Shipley is your fastest and most athletic wide receiver. Texas's wide receivers have always been built that way. That's why their tight end Thomas was the number one target when they won the National Championship. Even Roy Williams in the NFL today is garbage.

I'm just frustrated because all the good news has only been speculative lately.

We've had Jones admit that he's still looking around, Irvin off to ASU, and Cobbs now to Texas now without any commitments since.

It could be family issues or something like that... Kids like to stay close to home. I don't know of anything specific, just throwing things out there.

Texas will now have the #1 class for sure
...

I would bet everything I had that Texas won't have the #1 class...

Stay positive. Things have not looked better at any point this year for UT recruiting than they do right now...

I don't even know where to begin with this epic failure.

Care to explain why you didn't post this when Cobbs was committed? Yeah.

If he was hell-bent on being a WR, and according to what JMVA1 was saying it seemed like he was, then that likely had something to do with this, because I seriously doubt he'd ever play WR here.

I agree, everything feels "on the cusp" and I'm not even as pissed as I was last year that Jarvis Giles decommitted. Saw how that turned out. So I'm good, I just want to morph some of that speculation into reality with a bit more haste.

any clue as to where texas is gonna play him? RB maybe? I dont see him fitting in at WR there. Buckner, Williams etc are young guys and are still in place.

I posted this before Cobbs committed and didn't care for the commitment when he did. I didn't hate the commitment but I didn't care for it.

USC and Florida wanted nothing to do with him after they saw him in person.

But yes... having my own opinion makes me stupid and a liar. I see.

Nothing is for sure, his de-commit proves this, they certainly have a very strong class but if we get some of the guys that are still out there for the taking, we can make a strong push.

I don't care if we are rated number one by every site, we just need to keep addressing our issues and adding play-makers across the board.

These guys are great, no doubt, but the very fact that we are competing with the USC, Texas and Florida's of the world is impressive in itself.

We will rebound, We Are Tennessee!
